He is also getting older. Sometimes new ideas from the younger generations could change things. For the better or worse? Who knows though.

You are right, but there is something very distinct about Hideo's style, often quirky but very distinct.
I'm sorry, but I don't really see how this changes how much a fucking screw up Konami is currently.

IGA isn't the original Castlevania creator. Super Castlevania 4 was developed by Treasure. Dragon Quest 8 was developed by Level 5. David Jaffe was the creator of the original God of War, the third is widely regarded as the best. Little Big Planet Vita isn't developed by Media Molecule and it's regarded as the best. Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow and Dark Mirror aren't by the same developer, Sony Bend developed, and they're the best in the series. Uncharted Golden Abyss isn't developed by Naughty Dog and it's better than the first game in the series, also Sony Bend developed. Miyamoto had no involvement in Super Mario 3D World's development. Dark Souls 2 is the worst in the series but still good and Miyazaki didn't have any involvement. Matsuno had no involvement with Tactics Ogre The Knight of Lodis. Silicon Knights had nothing to do with any future Legacy of Kain titles after Blood Omen. DmC Devil May Cry was developed by Ninja Theory. Resident Evil 5 wasn't directed by Shinji Mikami. XCOM Enemy Within/Unknown are created by Firaxis and far better than the original. Secret of Evermore was developed by a US development team and it's just as good as Secret of Mana, debatably better.
Not being developed by the same director/team doesn't mean that the game will be bad or even worse. Most video games don't have the same director or the same development teams working on them. It's the few games that the director is known and has worked on multiple games from the same series that people tend to get overly biased and think that there's no way this particular series could be good without them or that this director could never make a bad game. It gets to the point that when the director does make a bad game, people ignore any and all of its shortcomings. IGA has developed several bad games and ran the Castlevania series into the ground. Everything else is excellent, but the amount of issues Vagrant Story has with its combat makes the game broken, yet people completely ignore the broken mess of a combat system and rate the game 10s because of how legendary a developer Matsuno is. Metal Gear Solid 5 with as many issues as it has gets perfect 10s across the board and all of its issues are constantly being disregarded because it's Kojima, so hey, why not. Not only are issues with the game disregarded, but people turn a blind eye towards the reasons why Konami fired him and instead place all the blame on Konami, even going so far as reporting false information to keep the hate towards the company in the light.

It's hardly unprecedented either, though. RPGFan1 posted a partial list (even if I disagree with multiple entries) of some examples.
