A decent list. I think Sonic is a worthy #1 amongst some other strong contenders. Agree with AEGRO that
the annualization should die.

Annualising something is deluting its essence and what sets it apart. Assassin's creed used to be an amazing and unique game. Now its your anual repetitive trash game rotating random envyronments. I imagine CoD is the same.

But greed... its easier in the short term to keep pushing this trash than to try and come up with more good franchises for a rotation.

Series need at least 2 years between sequals to stay healthy. If you are manking one every year, you are killing off your cash cow and you will have nothing left. I am convinced that AC is going to crash and Ubisoft is going to burn because of it.

Can we  get rid Call of Duty? I'm actually surprised people still care for that franchise.

I don't think The Sims deserves to die, but EA sure is greedy with that. The Sims 2 will always be the best one for me.
Banjo deserves a comeback too. The rest of the games... meh, I don't care about them anyways.

I'm guessing a lot of people are going to name series they don't like and then give some kind of rationalized excuse that they'd worm out of if one of their favorite series did the same.

"That FPS series need to die because the new games do nothing new in terms of game-play, even though millions of people love playing it. What? No, the monster collecting series I like is just staying true to its core game-play over the years, that's totally different."
