Forums - Gaming - Level5 game and Ys 8??

i think, i'm not the only one that missed this 2 games at the sony conference...level5 game was even supposed to be shown at e3, but i thought it was pushed back, because of the already big games announced like horizon and ff7 remix, what i can understand...and the other game is Ys 8, what was already shown last year at sony conference, but this year...? What do you think, will we see these 2 games still this year? At paris games week i think the big surprise will be GT7, but there will be another sony conference at december...any chance there? Have we to wait even longer, what do you think?

Falcom have been focusing on getting Tokyo Xanadu out of the door. They're also working on a new Sen no Kiseki I believe.

Given that they're quite a small company, I'm not surprised Ys 8 is taking a bit longer than people expected.

Ys won't return until Xanadu is out.

As for level 5, anyone's guess.

Ys isn't big enough in the wrst to get a showing at Paris or Experience, so that isn't getting more coverage until next year most likely.

A new Level-5 RPG would be big enough, and with two conferences still left, there is a decent chance we will see it this year.

Level 5 will show the game when the time will come, you do not force the master

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Ys hasn't even been picked up for the west yet so I think there's 0% chance of seeing it at PGW or PSX.

Sounds bad, hoped to see it at PSX, as it is more an action rpg ( from the style it play's like zelda) so i thought there could be enough interest...but falcom is very busy at the moment, so it could really be that we have to wait till next year...

Well, I mean, it isn't as if it isn't coming. Tons of Ys has been localized since this past generation. It's kind of ridiculous, really, but they are great games that deserve it. Memories of Celceta was a very worthy purchase for my Vita, and Ys 7 ranks among the top of the list of my favorite PSP games. Honestly, PGW or PSX could be a great time to announce the localization and reveal more details to get some western hype brewing. I definitely don't expect it, but it would still be a neat move.

I also get that it's unlikely that they'll reveal details in the west before Japan though. But a man can dream.

Give Level 5 some time. They're still working on that spiritual successor of White Knight Chronicles. Best MMO that's not an MMO.
