Forums - Sales - Destiny: The Taken King: Most Downloaded Game on Day One in PS History (More Players Than Launch, NO HYPE)

I wonder how big the bundle is/was, especially since it came with a Limited Edition PS4 and was just $400.

There are two bundles...

- PS4 LE
- PS4 Black

NPD will be fun... I don't expect it to sell more than MGSV on retail because most people will download the expasion only but it will chart high and have great numbers.

For US Destiny is the only bundled game to boost PS4 sales.

Destiny 2 PS4 exclusive incoming.

There is so many Xbone players I don't see how that can happen.

But I can say Destiny 2 will be bigger than CoD.

Very impressive, franchise is heading in the right direction.

Wow, it looks like this game is going to be much bigger than I thought!

Updated the title to be more accurate.

I'm glad they fixed many of the broken elements from the first game. I am interested in buying it, but seeing how incredibly quick they devalued their own DLC for TTK makes me hesitate.

Not surprised to see there are more people online now than at launch. There are more consoles in the wild, word of mouth from Destiny 1, hype, etc.

But people told me here that players left the game after launch...

I have a fireteam of 5 guys (including me) who bought the game + the extensions, but are waiting for a black Friday deal to get on board (we refuse to pay 40$ for a DLC). Most other people on my friend list are playing the game. I have to resist the temptation lol

And you told us the game was perfect and that certain weapons were just fine, right before the makers of the game tweaked all of it.

So I guess you and they were both wrong. Or, we at least know you were wrong. Those other people could be right for all we know.

They really should have priced the other "expansions" at $10 and this one at $20 max. With the LE of Taken King, they're basically telling you the base Destiny game plus two "expansions" are worth $20. It makes sense to wait for a sale.
