*Ahem* SPLATATATATATATATATATATATATATATA SPLAT-SUUUUUIIIT!  < Favorite comment on youtube comments.

But seriously the dislikes were real certain things need to be said.

1. This isn't even the first copy of Splatoon. The first, was in Minecraft, and it was huge news for a little while. Second I think was Team Fotress 2, Nintendo didn't care then, and I'm sure they aren't going to care their lucrative 3rd party partner is doing so either. Life goes on.

2. It says Disney Infinity Devs created this directly under Squid Wars, if it was created by them I have to say... really? Not even remotely upset but its just one of those things you can see smile at and be are you serious about this kinda attitude. If not, that's misleading and unneccessarily misleading at that.

I think its nice that with all the fanboy wars that go on these days, we can have a nice little laugh at this from time to time!

What if sony released a competive online game about covering stuff in paint and called it "unfinished swan battle mode" would that be a clone? :D

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

You guys.. you guys. Calm down.

No one is saying Splatoon didn't copy anything. It copied the idea of color wars, essentially. However, it was far from a direct rip off.

This from Disney, is an exact ripoff. Even the map is Arowana Mall.

That because it does. You're just saying because it has turf wars, it means it has unoriginal mechanics. What game besides Splatoon allows you to become a squid and swim in ink?

You mean the dashing ?

The transforming into a squid thing only applies to Splatoon's case and it's a cosmetic change, not a functional one ...

There are games out there like GTA V with an invincibility mechanic that also features dashing/strafing or sprinting so what exactly is Splatoon that's doing so new in that department and games devoiding you of a hitbox is not entirely new either ...

Tell me, what exactly is Splatoon doing that's so "new" or "innovative" ...

Ignore the last sentence of my last post. Just decided to go back and actually read through the thread and just...

I don't want to criticize anyone, but... just what's wrong with you people?

What are you talking about? Seriously, that's not what I'm talking about at all...

I'd never thought to see Nintendo fans so upset about a meaningless thing. Makes you think.
