Nintendo announced today that the Wii U exclusive JRPG Genei Ibun Roku #FE (formerly known as Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem) will be released in Japan on December 26th.

The game will be sold in a standard edition for 7,236 including taxes, a special edition named “Fortissimo Edition” for 9,698 yen, and a bundle with a Wii U for 40,824 yen.

The Fortissimo Edition will include a special box with a cover illustrated by toi8, a soundtrack CD with six songs, an art book, and a download code for three set of costumes (Fashion Show, Female Swimsuits, Male Swimsuits). The Wii U bundle comes with the same contents as the Fortissimo Edition, plus the console, two sets of stickers, three character lyrics sheets and a download code for three quests.

Below you can see the contents of all three editions, and the first print bonus, in the form of a set of costumes inspired by previous ATLUS titles for Nintendo consoles.

Realistically.. a May or summer release in the West?

Sooner than I anticipated.

Well I guess it is technically still 2015!

Surprising. I would have sworn it'd go into next year.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Do preorders also start now or do they start at a later date?

Oh my gosh, I love those box arts! And I want that Rei costume! So Kawahii! Who are the other costumes based on though? I know one's from Shin Megami Tensei IV, but I don't know who.

I need this

Is this a game Japanese are really interested in?

It's not called Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, Pokémon or Yo-kai Watch, so no.

I need this game in my life. Hopefully it won't be to long until the release in the West.
