It is not.(ninty controller) 96 34.78%

Nope. (MS controllers) 26 9.42%

Nah(Sega Controllers) 5 1.81%

Definitely agree!!

The most iconic controllers are NES and SNES and All of the Playstation Controllers because they have kept at least the same silhouette across all of the 4 consoles.

Yes, the Atari joystick was legendary but as of right now, i would not consider it iconic.

Also, to push the thread forward. I think that the button configuration of the Dualshocks (Square, Circle, Triangle and X) is more iconic than the typical A, B, X, Y.

What do you think?

While I don't necessarily agree, I must, however, praise Dualshock's controller buttons. Those buttons are made to be pressed. To be smashed with fury; to be spammed with iron determination. It's always a joy to press 'em.

Sony makes you pay for new controllers each gen even though there's no reason to.

Stale is the word you're looking for.

C'mon man, the Wii U Pro Controller and the GamePad are way worse.

Eh, the DS4 may be better than Ninty's controller's this gen, but I still think out of MS, Ninty, Sony, and Sega, Sony makes the worst controllers. Just my opinion.

A very biased opinion. No person with an objective mind can seriously say the N64 controller, which was made for three armed aliens, is better than any DS ever made.

Hunting Season is done...

Well, their controllers are almost the same every gen. I don't get what's nice about that. They could recycle them, because why not? I can't deny they are comfortable and good controllers, though.

NES is hardwired into my brain as iconic, but for those who started 5th gen or later, the gradual and subtle evolution of the reliable Dual Shock is probably it. All my favorite controllers share a basic button layout & size with the original DS, but strangely few have as good a D-pad.
