I find Xperia Z phones to be, overall, best high end smartphones for quite some time now, so no surprises here.

The Xperia Z series is easily one of if not the highest quality of flagship smartphones you can get. You can pick up a Z1, it performs super fast, waterproof with a 20.7mp camera.
It's a shame that Sony have to go and do something insane like putting a 4K screen on a phone to get some attention for their super products.
There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'
i plan on getting that z5 premium, but not because of 4K, 2K would be enough, i want that screen size and the chrome color. can't wait to get my hands on one.

Well the few hands on I've read, it doesn't seem like you can notice its 4k.
I mean when you are talking 800 ppi. For a 5.5 inch screen, i don't think anything above 2k will be noticable.
Sony has had the best phones for years now. I think the only thing keeping me on iPhone is because all my music is invested into iTunes. If I could use my iTunes music on a Sony phone, I'd get one in a heartbeat.

Sony started featuring Xperia during Champions League, it's on the scoreboard all the time. I'm not sure how much it will help, though. It's not like PlayStation would have done poorly without CL sponsorship. |
PlayStation is different from xperia. Everyone already knows PlayStation. back in the time of the PS1 Sony bombarded TVs worldwide with ads of PlayStation. Its now become a brand that is synonymous with videogames. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone on the planet that has seen a TV and doesn't know of PlayStation (exaggeration but you get the point)
If Sony wants their mobile phones to become relevant and compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung, then they have to be willing to invest just as much as those guys in marketing. There is no way around that. When it comes to the average consumer, if they see something on TV enough times or see Kim kardashian using it, they will go and get it.

Actually, you can. You can download your entire music library for your pc and then synchronize with your phone loc storage or use Google music to upload it to the cloud so it would be the same as you already have. And also, you could use the apple music app and have your purchased songs avallaible on Android.

As it stands now, no matter how good the devices are, they are just me too android devces lost in the shuffle. Sony needs to merge their mobile division with PlayStation and make innovative mobile devices, that actually stand out. A real PlayStation Phone with access to PlayStation Network and software from SCEWWS, EA, Activision, Take-Two, etc. would be an industry changer. Offering the device in a Vita like form factor along with the current Xperia form factors would give them something for everyone. Hope these devices struggle, and make Sony go back to the drawing board, and doubl their efforts on the one Sony ecosystem. |
They actually tried something f like this with the xperia play. A smartphone dedicated to gaming is something pretty niche, and to work needs to be really well done. N-gage was like the best phone of its time, but due to strange design choices it wasnt appealing neither for gamers or people that just wanted a phone.

You can literally drag and drop from itunes into a folder on a phones SDcard/internal memory. You are using a €600 phone because you can't drag and drop?
Not meaning to sound harsh there, trying to figure a way of rewording that to sound nicer, but I can't really without being direct to the point.
