As it stands now, no matter how good the devices are, they are just me too android devces lost in the shuffle. Sony needs to merge their mobile division with PlayStation and make innovative mobile devices, that actually stand out. A real PlayStation Phone with access to PlayStation Network and software from SCEWWS, EA, Activision, Take-Two, etc. would be an industry changer. Offering the device in a Vita like form factor along with the current Xperia form factors would give them something for everyone. Hope these devices struggle, and make Sony go back to the drawing board, and doubl their efforts on the one Sony ecosystem. |
They actually tried something f like this with the xperia play. A smartphone dedicated to gaming is something pretty niche, and to work needs to be really well done. N-gage was like the best phone of its time, but due to strange design choices it wasnt appealing neither for gamers or people that just wanted a phone.
