I think Sony are testing the waters at the moment as far as a price drop goes. They have two options: Drop the price by $50 or add in another AAA game worth $60. That's what the Destiny Bundle + MGSV is all about.

Not related (yet):

#7 PS4 Destiny Bundle
#22 PS4 Star Wars Bundle
#30 PS4 TLOUR Bundle
#46 XB1 Forza Bundle
#68 WiiU Deluxe
#87 XB1 Madden Bundle
#94 XB1 Gears Bundle

I honestly think a 100k+ gap is possible this month.

I think a 150k+ gap is possible.

That's definitely not impossible. With the position the Destiny Bundle is in and has been all month, and the position it was in during the preorders last month, I'd say 130k - 150k, especially when you take into account the TLOUR bundle too. Add to that the boost MGSV would have surely given it at the start of the month. If Sony can ride these bundles into mid October then it's even possible there could be an upset.

Anyone else shocked at Forza 6's plunge? It's barely been out 5 days and already heading out of the top 50!.

I thought the franchise was more popular than that? Or maybe it's just series fatigue setting in? Either way, I didn't think it would fall that fast.

Well the game will still go to sell about 2 million life time and racing games are kinda niche in the US i expect it to do a bit better in EU

I think series fatigue sets in quicker for some games. I know the execption here are sports, COD and AC, but MS should have known this.

with sports people are massive fans and they live the game, they actually play them and stay in love with them, so them buying them evvery year is no suprise.

We know COD is played competitive by kids mainly, and kids now days just love to be playing competitve online so they can yell crap online, and the esport crowwd who wants to profit from it.

AC, well I dont know how this series keeps going anually, it makes no sense.

Racers, I dont think they offfer enoufgh or dont have a core fanbase as passionate as other genras, so It cant survive an anual release of the same game, where nearly nothing changes.

I think MS is actually messing up with Forza by making it a yearly franchise.  It was a franchise that grew to start selling ~4M-5M each version, but has now become a franchise selling ~1M-2M.  And I think it will start to stick in that lower end, ~1M,  if they continue the yearly crap.  Racers, especially ones that are more sim than arcade, don't warrant that kind of schedule.

I actually wouldn't be shocked to see GT7 outsell all the Forza's released on XBO combined, so far,  when it launches.
