Here we go again.. D:

Nobody bat an eye when Sony & Activision did the same to the jimquisition though (on a non-let's play, non-monetized video).

Hardly anyones batted an eye at that Shovel Knight content locking amiibo.

Lol, you should probably read that thread first then.

Ps: what does amiibo have to do with ID content strikes?

One forum thread doesn't mean anything. Im talking large scale.

What does Sony have to do with these ID content strikes? Practice what you preach.

If I remember correctly, the whole Shovel Knight amiibo thing is something that Yacht Club Games decided on their own. Their using a different factory to make them and the main use for the amiibo (as we know it)  will only be for their own games. So I can only imagine they were the ones who decided what should be locked behind the amiibo.

Meh I still blame Nintendo for even creating the dumb toys to begin with but I guess thats just my thoughts on the matter. Shame on YCG.

I watched his YouTube letsplay on that game live, was about the worst id seen. I usually like his humor, but it translates poorly into lets plays... It seemed as if he was making it his goal to never crack a smile and be as boring as possible, and alternated between complaining it was too easy and then, when he struggled, complaining it was too hard lol

But yeah, nintendo really ought to stop. I know it's important to protect your copyrights and youtube monetizing everything has complicated matters, but it doesn't seem to have a negative affect on anyone else who doesn't bothef to police their videos.

Shame? People want these... If you don't like it just ignore it.

Whatever you might think of whether let's players should be allowed to make money from what they do, it seems like Nintendo is only harming the sales prospects of Wii U by slamming copyright claims on let's players. Let's players who are having fun with their Wii U games is just about the best possible marketing Nintendo can get for free.

They may have the right to shut these people down, but they have the choice to not exercise that right, and it would seem that not exercising that right is the financially sensible thing to do. Which tends to suggest Nintendo are doing it for ideological reasons. Makes me think of how Nintendo was very opposed to SSBM becoming a pro-competitive game.

Another day, another copyright claim...This kind of content claiming needs to die a horrible death.

HAHAHAH xD *grabs popcorn* ohh this is gonna be good :)
