It literally looks exactly the same. Just as ugly as ever.

Not to be that guy, but you could have fooled me.
Those textures are really bad. I don't think it's unfair at all to compare some of them to those found in an N64 game.
I think you just hated E3
Check the link below. (note to Admins: it's not really porn please don't ban me!)

I want those N64s they had. |
Think you take the comments a bit literally. Saying it looks like the N64 version did with higher resolution/better textures isn't calling it an N64. It's like OOT 3D retained the feel of the N64 games while again, clearly far more advanced. Still looks like the OOT I remember from the N64.
It looks to me how Lylat Wars looked back in 1998. I thought Lylat Wars looked fecking amazing back then. This evokes a similar feel to those visuals.
Games tend to look better in your memory than they really did.

its not unfair, its just stupid to compare 480i to 1080p.... they look alot better, but thats mostly because of the higher resolution and some other minor things.
they dont look good, but they dont look like 20 years old.

But they opted somewhat a reharsh of this N64 game. a little bit better, but they should have really push the limits of that Wii U. |
Hopefully after this proves that no, a Star Fox game like SF64 is not a viable game today, the next Star Fox will be that AAA boundry-pushing game we both want. I'll always stand by my stance that Star Fox Assault was the right direction to take the franchise. That Battlefront comparison was too apt. Yes, please to Star Fox Battlefront. Just give me a deep and engaging single player campaign. Take notes from space sims too, and that sort of free space exploration. It could be grand.

It's not stupid. 1080p ugly blurry texture will still look as old as a 480i ugly blurry texture. It doesn't matter how many pixels are present if the source material is natively blurry and ugly.
