Whether an indie game is exclusive or multiplatform doesn't really matter in this context. One game is one game.

Precisely, all the pressure should be on Nintendo shoulders.

The fact that the majority of Nintendo fans are defending Nintendo by not securing MORE GAMES is mind fucking blowing.

Its like defending Toyota for not making business with Pirelli and its OK that they could sell you the 2015 Corolla without tires.

Again. SMDH...

They are elready coming to Nintendos Platforms by themselves. Why pay for something you get for free

And there is the possibility here to buy a car without tires if you want better ones/reuse the ones of your last car (They will mount the tires of your choice on the car instead)

Enjoy your Wii U my brother.

Sony don't have to moneyhat anyone. They have over 50% marketshare with basically 100% of europe. I guess the ps2 money hatted everyone?

Who wants to listen to this guy anyway? His console is in last and seems on track to sell worse than all the other consoles they have ever released. Clearly his strategy does not work.

People wonder why they have nearly zero 3rd parties

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

People say that this is strange, but it really isn't.

There's no guaranteed outcome to moneyhatting any 3rd party exclusive -- especially with indies where the market visibility is small and the risk could be very high.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Nintendo have money in the bank to release 20 Wii Us in a row, but God forbid they secure a game by throwing a little some some to developers so the people that BOUGHT the Nintendo console can have more games.

Twilight Zone.

I swear if you didn't know any better you'd think Sony was the healthiest company of the 3.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

I think they are only saying that they don´t moneyhate to keep the indies exclusive on their console, they just have the doors open to them, and now the Eshop is plenty of good indies, some of them exclusives (like Runbow, Affordable Space Adventures or the upcoming Fast Racing Neo) but because they want to. Exclusives indies are, except rare exceptions, not relevant for the sales of a console, it is important to have a good library of indie games to keep the customer happy and fill the droughts, but few people buy a console for an exclusive indie and this kind of deals sometimes ends up being kind of toxic for the developers, as they have to be limited always to a single console no matter what happens.

Bu they do. This interview says they are not paying for indie exclusives, but if you own a WiiU it is pretty obvious Nintendo invests in Indies, be it marketing or help in development. They just don't moneyhat exclusives, but they still secure the games.

@aegro

Nintendo can spend money on games if they feel like it. However that is not what I was talking about.

How did you get from my comment to that reply.
Can't quote. My phone acting dumb. This site needs better devs that will support mobiles.

Twilight Zone.

By that logic, we should praise Nintendo for securing Devil's Third.

"Great job, Nintendo. Thanks to you, we got one more game on the system that we bought."

Microsoft securing Tomb Raider.

Sony securing Street Fighter 5.

Nintendo securing Devils Third.
