Not for the summer, I personally think the game is A LOT further behind in development then Nintendo let on. It will be a Fall/Winter release.

Thanks. Thread is on bookmark. We will talk next year ;)
I still think that wont happen. X86 and PowerPC Cpus dont work in handhelds. To much power consumption and heat on cheaper models and to high price for things like Intel Core M (which is still not as powerfull). If NX is Handheld and Console with cross games they need same architecture, so ARM CPUS are a must have for the Handheld and for the console too. ARM are to weak to get powerwhise anything near Xbox One / Ps4. The most powerfull chips (Tegra K1 in shield console) need a power supply and are on Wii-U´s Powerlevel. Also ARM wont give easy Ps4/xbox one/pc ports and no BC. So i think the concept really sounds great and i agree that something like this would fit nintendos hints, but i dont think they are possible.
If its really thats fusion concept, we wont get something much stronger as wii u. The maximum power of the Handheld for 250-300€ is wii u´s level in terms of power. Remember games like Project cars? Wii u is to weak to run the game, even in 720p. So multiplats would not happen on this fusion concept. |
Please do. I've been confirmed right like four times on the NX so far, and only Cloudman has been on it about remembering that I've said it. Really need another.
It definitely will be significantly more powerful than the Wii U. I don't think the NX and NXDS will have identical hardware, just similar enough to allow for streamlined scaling. The problem with Project CARS isn't that it couldn't run the game at all, but that they couldn't run the game to look almost as good as the other versions. That wouldn't be an issue with fusion, because it would only have to look that good on the console version, which it would. The handheld would be able to take the visual and physics compromises they simply were not willing to make on the Wii U version because they'd be more noticable on a console.
I don't know how they're doing it, but the mere existence of data for DQX means they are pulling it off. The NX console will, like I said, be graphically similar enough with the PS4/XBO to get multiplats. Those multiplats will then be scaled down for the NXDS.
BC is happening too. The whole gimmick relies onturning the NX into a legacy platform. Nintendo doesn't want to keep rebuilding their library from scratch, especially when it comes to VC games. They've been investing so much in the VC for so many different systems because they want to have all those platforms ready for launch on the NX. Day one, you'll have access to NES, SNES, N64, Wii, GBA, DS, and if my predictions are correct, GB/GBC and 3DS games as well. The entire library of games available on both eshops would be available at launch. That's what Nintendo is going for.
Along with the new membership program and their digital platform, they want to form relationships with people through their accounts rather than their accounts rather than their hardware. The more games you buy digitally, the more attached you'll be to the account you have. That's why Steam is so genius. That's why Apple is so successful. That's what Nintendo wants. The new membership program launches soon, and I won't be suprised if it comes with a way to import all of your save data for all of your games to the cloud preemptively. At that point, you're already apart of that ecosystem.
The main obstacle for a Zelda u release in mid-2016 is the Holiday lineup. Nintendo seems to have decided that they need at least one huge game per holiday season for their consoles, especially since 2008. Zelda served that role in 2011, so I feel that Nintendo would only feel comfortable releasing Zelda U earlier if they had at least one game of comparable magnitude.
If I had to guess what would constitute a Zelda-level release that could likely be possible by late 2016, there aren't a lot of possibilities. There could be a 3D Super Mario based on an existing concept, either 3D World 2 or Galaxy 3. Retro could release something big, but neither their Metroid Prime or Donkey Kong games have always been THAT big (See Prime 2 and Tropical Freeze). They could have a group of games that don't quite make the cut, like some combination of Mario Party 11, Paper Mario 5, and a Kirby platformer within a short period. Otherwise, I don't see it.

Hadoram: uhm no. Thats called beeing objektive and those mentioned things all are facts.
Every company makes mistakes, speeking about them is not "bitching". I know this is hard to understand for fanboys though.
- Moderated, Carl
So I (hadoram) was banned for what ? Somebody blamed me i would bitch about nintendo by just giving my opinion based on facts. I do this about every company. That called critism.
The moderator need to be a huge fanboy to ban me for this LOL. He should ban the other guy who blamed me, not me by justing responding and explaining/disproving it.

1. The handheld will be significantly more powerful than the Vita. The console around PS4/XBO level. It's expected to run DQX, to it has to be, though I think it'll err towards being the weakest of the three. 2. No clue, though it'll likely be similar enough to the Wii U for full digital BC. Can't say it won't be x86, but if that means scrapping Wii U eshop BC, it 100% ain't happening. 3. Yep. Likely 3DS, too. Digitally for both. 4. The unified platform is the gimmick. Being able to share a library across multiple hardware interfaces. 5. Next year. Likely the end of November. Wouldn't be surprised if the handheld came out in the summer too. 6. Handheld between $200-$250. Console between $300-$400. Unless Nintendo pulls something out of their ass to make it cheaper. I doubt no disk drive is that solution. |
Finally. JNK here.
1. WRONG
2. WRONG
3. WRONG
4. WRONG (its not unified plattform but one single plattform)
5. WRONG release in march 2017
6. There are no 2 devices. Im sure the prieces were wrong too and it in fact doesnt have a disc drive
Thanks for disproving your value.
There was just nothing you had right. :D Next time just dont do something like that again. You blamed yourself.
