I think they learned their lesson. Nintendo knows you gotta spend money to make money.

I would totally participate in that, and be out in the first round! XD
I might be enthusiastic, but I'm not a very good gamer....that being said I really hope they bring this to the west. I'd love to see Splatoon in Evo.
Wow, that is a shit ton
I could buy soooo many hookers and squids with that

ABsolutly, and SPlatoon is arguably one of their best new IP launch that they had since the 7th gen. The best part of it is that this one actually seems that it has a true potential to become a real franchise, and dont fade away like the Wii series did. I raise my hat to Nintendo on this one, they did it by the book, and they created a valuable, competitve shooter IP
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
That's surprisingly a lot of money.
Nintendo has done a really good job with how they've handled the marketing for this game pre and post launch.

Sweet, that's a lot of money. The only thing Nintendo hasn't done yet to promote the game is a Splatoon anime.
1m prize money? Holy shit.
Nintendo must believe in the competitive potential of this game.
-_-
They don't show the same support for Smash, which has been around for over a decade.
-_-

You're so unimaginative. I'd pay my hookers to look like this (or pay these girls) lol.
