I like Edge of Tomorrow as a stand alone. I don't see how you do a sequel without it being just a rehash. I just can't picture that kind of movie being done in a sequel. Like Groundhog day 2? Nah just make MI6, Reacher 2, and something new.

They should wait until the sequel to All You Need Is Kill is written, then consider the Edge of Tomorrow sequel.

Please no sequel to Edge of Tomorrow please, it's like making a sequel to The Terminator. Reacher yes please, as I recall it was supposed to become a franchise until the box office was good but not good enough.

Yes, it was kind of a joke, but the Terminator franchise as an example has grown incredibly, mind-scorchingly convoluted. Edge of Tomorrow already has a well told story that fits perfectly together with a perfect ending (in my view; I know not everybody likes the ending). Unless they really have a great idea of how to continue the story and have many more great original ideas to fill the running time to the brim, I don't want to see it.

Reacher 2 yes. Edge of Tomorrow 2 - no. I loved the first one, but I don't know how they'll make a sequel to it. Besides, it won't be as fresh as the first one unless they go for a different style/approach. Will watch both regardless though.

Edge of Tomorrow does not have a decent sequel in it. It was stand alone and bloody brilliant for it. What are they gonna do? Adapt the technobiology and go invade the home world? Ugh!

Jack Reacher 2 is part of a novel serial, so makes sense to turn that into a franchise.
