Forums - Nintendo - So, I'm going to buy Darksiders II on my Wii U... but

Should I get Darksiders on the 360 first? Do the stories overlap that much? I know that the story with Darksiders II has to deal with War, but is it that much of a deal?

I watched a lets play of Darksiders not too long ago but it didn't interest me, which is odd because Darksiders II does. I think it's the improved combat (at least it looks improved on II)

Darksiders 1 and 2 take place at the same time. My friend just got through both, and I'd highly recommend based on what he's told me that you play both because of the experiences. That said, it's not necessary, really, no.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

How much is Darksiders II on Wii U, by the way? It constantly drops in price on the eShop, so if it isn't 15 or 20 dollars I'd suggest you to wait.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

The stories barely overlap. If you watched a full let's play of the first Darksiders you should be good, you can even just read the wikipedia article and that should be enough.

I have a few problems with Darksiders 2, but overall is a good game. Halfway throw the game, it almost felt like the developers ran out of time (or money maybe), because it feels very rush; that's probably my biggest problem with the game.

Don't think it's necessary to get Darksiders for X360. You should get it for PS3 though.

It's fine to play without the first game. Although the first game is pretty good so definitely give it a go at some point.

I got DS2 on WiiU for $8 on an eshop sale last year... played about half way threw, but would still recommend it for a price up to $20. I've Never played DS1 and have never felt lost within the story.

I bought it without playing the first game and thought it was fantastic!

I would skip darksides 2 altogether, so much better games to play.

Right now it is on sale for $10 on the eShop. However, I prefer physical and the price on Amazon went up to $30. (It was like $12 last time I checked) So yeah.
