Nah, the Xbox cut last year started early November and that worked just fine, incidentally that was also announced October 27th, the day I expect the PS4 cut to be announced.

OT: With this: "“After 21 months, combined Xbox One and PS4 hardware unit sales are close to 50 percent higher than the combined sales of Xbox 360 and PS3 after 21 months on the market,” said Callahan" and the 189k number for the X1 it should potentially be possible to get the PS4 number as long as someone has the necessary PS3 and 360 numbers.

We'll see but it's not as assured as some people like to think. Sony will have a shipment and a target. If they can hit that rarget without a price drop then that's what they'll do. They're really not bothered about losing a couple of months a year.

September: 50,000 ( 675k )
October: 40,000 ( 715k )
November: 150,000 ( 865k )
December: 225,000 ( 1.09m )

Yeah, around 1-1.2 million by end of year, depend on the legs.

The issue has been addressed by the mods, so not really worthy of any more consideration.
