Azzanation said: This is not something I want to hear. Its ok to remaster games when they need to be remastered however that's not what's happening. We are being resold the same games as last gens as simply cross overs. TLOU-RM and GOW3 are nothing more then 1080p/60frame versions. Those using the excuse of those gamers who have missed out is complete BS. Most gamers last gen ended up with both consoles and even if some didn't get the chance to play those games, they can also go out and buy a PS3 and the games at a much cheaper price. Its not like these consoles and games are obsolete. What I don't get is that most gamers have kept there PS3s because the PS4 isn't BC. So why would they want to buy the games again on PS4? And why should they invest to buy a expensive console when there's a much cheaper alternative in the PS3? The sad part is instead of these devs focusing on newer ideas and sequels, they are wasting there time and resources delivering games most of the world have already played. This is why BC is important. Even though many don't use it, it helps push devs into creating newer experiences.

1. At least TLoU/UC/Gow 3 reach 1080p@60fps. But no, obviously the broken remasters with lower resolution and/on performances on Xbone like MCC are superior, aren't they?
2. The PS3 sold more than 80 million pieces. According to vgchartz TLOU (physical) didn't reach 6 million. Even if it is 8 million total it still is 10% of the number of consoles sold. Is it really so unbelievable that many didn't buy the game? If there is a game nearly everybody played that was GTA V. And still the remaster sold and keeps selling like hot pies.
3. I'm keeping my PS3. That doesn't mean I played all PS3 games. If there is a remaster of something I didn't play I will buy that one instead. Still TLoU, which sold more than 3 million on PS4, was in the top 10 US PSN sellers for PS3 in July. So don't worry, people are buying the same game for BOTH platforms.
4. You might be surprised by how many remasters are outsourced. Companies like Virtuos (FF X/X-2 HD) and Bluepoint (Uncharted Collection and Flower for PS4, and if you like even Titanfall for X360) do the job for them. TR: DE was remastered by external studios as well.
As for B/C we'll discuss about it once we'll see how it really performs with the major most recent AAA games. The analysis made by Digital Foundry wasn't really promising anyway. B/C is a bitch. And no matter what if I don't own a game I prefer to spend a bit more for the better version than to take a risk with something that will get emulated.
