Forums - Microsoft - Halo 5 disappointed at GamesCom.That say the "GamePro" magazine

i'll say this,.. for being only a few months away i see very little hype for halo 5. xbox fans on the forums seem to want to talk about tomb raider a lot more than halo 5.

Single player looks fine to me. Can't wait to see what this Locke and chief thing is about.

Real world is the complete opposite, Xbox owners are preordering way more Halo 5 than Tomb Raider (Halo 5 at #89 on the Amazon.com bestseller list + the special edition console at #3 currently, Tomb Raider is #310 and that's higher than I've ever seen it before)

I really liked the Halo 4 campaign so I hope it turns out good. The E3 demo did not wow me as much as the Halo 4 demo did back in 2012 though but I'm staying optimistic.

Weird...the game looked pretty damn good when I played it at SDCC.

A poorly translated excerpt from a German mag doesn't really tell me much. Every Halo game has at least one "non-stop shooting down grey corridors" level. Usually as the opener to introduce game mechanics in a linear, controlled environment. And I remember the demo they showed at E3 looking pretty damn cool.

Meh, we'll see in October I guess. :D

its not that poorly translated, its pretty badly written in german too.

But people who are going for multiplayer have a lot of other games to play this fall. COD, Star Wars: Battlefront etc. Also so far it looks a lot less impressive than Destiny. So looking at that game's ratings...

I've been told Halo is the pioneer and pinnacle of multiplayer FPS.

Haha yeah sure it is. It was a important multiplayer fps for consoles but even on there it's not the most important one. Let alone PC, i was playing online shooters many years before the Halo franchise even excisted. That said though, Halo has been losing steam for quite a few years now, and it has strong competition this year. If Halo 5 is not solid alround it could damage the franchise in a big way.

Well, from what we've heard of it, I'm really looking forward to playing it.

Google translate:

"I sincerely hope that has 343 accurately chosen the most unspectacular campaign mission for the Gamescom demo. For me Halo means impressive space panoramas, spectacular staged battles and fun vehicle sections. Instead, I saw only barren Dauergeballer in gray space station halls.

Also with regard to the co-op focus I'm still torn: On the one hand there's really some cool scenes where I've really felt like a part of a team. And the different story and gameplay approaches of individual characters might me well for multiple playthrough individual missions motivate.

On the other hand seemed Halo 5, at least when using shown more like a multiplayer shooter. Both the level design and in terms of the myriad screen displays. What remains is the hope that the solo campaign of Halo has 5 simply sold at the Gamescom only value. The end of October we know more "

Looks great to me and cant wait to play it.

Honestly, Halo 5 looks far, far less impressive than Halo 4 when it was making the pre-release rounds. I get the impression it's trying to be Borderlands with the co-op thing.

I really really hope its not like Borderlands!
