YES i do agree.
But I can also understand that its not easy to comprehend for non wii u/non splatoon owners. You have to play the game.
My ranking Games of the Gen so far:
1. Splatoon
2. Mario Kart 8
3. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Did you played Splatoon?
Who cares about voice chat, game phenomenal without, also 2 months after releasing we have full content.
I wrote "a very serious contender for game of generation for now".
I dont see any other game on Wii U that i so fresh, unique, very fun and addictive.

That's why I wrote and bold in OP "What do you say Splatoon players, do you have similar thoughts?". :)

Agree wih this, Just because its new and fun with multiplayer does not mean its Game of generation. There is one more multiplayer game (Rocket league) released recently for PS4/PC also fun and addictive multiplayer game to, similary there are many games that offer addictive games out there. Splatoon is one of the best fun multiplayer games only and its not a game of the generation.
So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.
PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.
Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.
Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Yes I have.
Lots of people care about voice chat, it allows for communication and strategy amoung friends.
In my opinion it really really isn't.
Addictive multiplayer doesn't = game of the generation. Saying it's better than every game that has come out since 2012 and will come out until 2018/9 or something is a ridiculous statement to make. Rocket League is super addictive but it is not game of the generation contender, at all.
There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'
It's fresh, addictive, innovative and, above all, fun. Also, it has a lot of content and a solid single player experience. So, yeah, it's definitely a contender. I can't decide between Splatoon, Bayonetta 2 or 3DWorld. But I couldn't play any PC game this gen because my laptop it's now obsolete, so I can't make a fair comparison.
I highly doubt it.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Splatoon doesn't really require voice chat tbh only intelligence as stratgies in other shooters don't really work in it, VC is nice but in this case it doesn't really add to the team play as the gamepad already tells you what you need to know as you may be in a team but the game is more influenced by individual play, it's more then the addictive gameplay that makes it great players can play in a manner that expresses themselves and the game has surprising depth of play.
People should try playing the game at high level in rank battles it's far more tense then most shooters if not all of them.

voicechat doesnt make any sense if you play international with random people from japan, NA, europe and co.
It does make sense if you play with friends though.
But tbh the wii u unfortunaly isnt really made for voice chat. There is now party chat, most people that do use wii u voice chat are using the gamepads microphone which is awfull.
Even if the game would offer voicechat I would still just use skype/teamspeak/mumble and co on my smartphone, instead using the terrible gamepads quality or getting a headset that does work with the wii u just for splatoon.
Even on most PC games (counter strike and co) that does offer voicechat, most people prefer using teamspeak and co.
The real disadvantage on the wii u´s side is, that the system doesnt offer a party chat system for the whole system and every game. That would make me probl buying a headset for the wii u to use voice chat serious. But just for spaltoon it just wouldnt make much sense.
The game now does have more then enough content and new content still get released for free. Dont see the problem. I also did like the "content over time" model. Nothing was released unfinished, most of the content was on disc anyway. So it wasnt a "rush decission" but a "gamedesign decission" and it worked.
