This gen is full of 180 though... COD and moneyhats are great now...

Because according to some people when Sony does it it's a smart business move but when Microsoft does it it's because they're pure evil apparently. /s

The only time I really see anyone saying "moneyhatting is evil" is people like you guys in situations like this. Hardly any sony fans were upset over TR being a timed exclusive. It's just business regardless who's acquiring the exclusivity deals.

Actually, that's false. Tomb Raider sells more on PS than it does Xbox, and a LOT of people are pissed and very salty over it. Rightfully so in my opinion. Unless the title was financially unable to be started without the help of the backer then moneyhatting is wrong simply because it denies consumers the ability to play on their system. Tomb Raider is a multi million seller franchise, SE did it solely to hedge risk risk on their end. It would have been built, published, and sold regardless of MSFT.

I want it on PC and there isn't a chance in hell i'm supporting a purchase on Xbox One over that specific money hat.

Money hats are good, they are all about passion and support.

Sony really want to dominate this Gen. And they are.

Since ps4 is so far ahead now it would only cost a few thousands to get third party deals, whereas for xbo it would be a couple hundred millions.

You (as well as anyone else not directly involved in that companies department) have no idea how much they paid, Activision will try get as much money as possible for the deal and Sony most like did pay in the millions to stop MS getting the deal. MS and Sony would not talk to each other about such a deal as it would undermine what Activision or any other publisher would get in terms of funds, for all Sony knew MS wanted the deal and they had to outbid them.

The denial in this thread is hilarious.

Its not really denial, it's just pure ignorance.  Most gamers do not even know how the maket work on the business end and can only see things as a gamer/consumer.  Most comments are more in line with personal wants then any true analysis.

I am 5000% sure that what Playstation_awaiter said was sarcasm.

Come on, now. A few thousand vs. a couple hundred million? For just marketing deals? And you guys took that comment seriously?

I meant that from my prospective, I don't see many sony fans mad over it but honestly, I don't frequent any other gaming forum or youtube gaming channels where I might see it. On here, most of the sony fans aren't upset over it. Personally, I'm not bothered by it even though I played those games since the first one on sega saturn (I think). If MS got full exclusivity with FFXV or Dark Souls 3, I would be upset but I don't think the xbox division's allowance from MS is big enough to get those and those types of games do better on playstation consoles.

Sony offered more money than MS, seems pretty simple. Just like last gen MS offered more money.

Idk why this part would be surprising, why would eSports go on Xbone if the marketing deal is on PS4?

Naaa, they offered them a bigger install base. People really need to stop listening to Spencer's spin. Developers know where the money is coming from this generation and it's not from Sony's bank account it's from gamer's preferences. The gap is getting bigger every single day, every single week, every single month and every single year. Activision have just got common sense. MS just can't afford to offset those losses anymore and so Spencer has decided to spin his way out of it.

Im not talking about sales. Im talking about quality AAA exclusives. So far its been underwhelming. Besides, mock USA all you want, but they are a more important market than Japan and all the small European countries that just buys the annual Fifa games. Xbox one and PS4 multiplatform game sales are on par if you eliminate the bundled games. Sorry, but Microsoft xbox one is here to stay and will also continue to get third party support as well.

Fail 1) PS4 have today more quality AAA exclusives than Xbone

Fail 2) EU > US in terms of videogame market

Fail Bold) Sarcarm? Because PS4 sell way more (close to 2x) more multi than Xbone even if you deny bundles... better you can even use bundles for Xbone and remove for PS4

1st. No it doesn't, the ps4 has hardly any AAA titles. All they have right now is Bloodborne (great game), lbp3 (terrible, made from a trashy development company and I don't know if it is consider AAA) and Infamous (decent game).

2nd. LOL. This is a joke right? Outside of UK (which xbox one is doing alright in) USA matches and beats all the other EU countries combine. USA is neck to neck with EU when you include UK with a slight lead as we speak.

Actually, if you look at the new games on vgchartz out side of bundles, the overall sales aren't too far apart. When holidays come with Halo 5, black friday deals and bundles should xbox one should beat PS4 in North America by quite a lot. As long as xbox keeps getting this amount of support for USA, no big - medium third party developer is going to skip on xbox one unless Sony pays them. There is too much money left on the table for AAA publishers / developers to skip Xbox unless it is some niche jap game.

You mean the same company who bought Minecraft ip for 2 billion dollars or the same company that is getting bundle deals and exclusives for Fifa and Madden? Yeah, that makes total sense. The reason for Sony doing this is because they don't have a lot of money to make exclusive games. While Microsoft is getting Halo 5, Gears Ultimate (a remake and not a simple uprez "remaster"), Forza 6, Tomb Raider this year you will be getting COD month exclusive...

You must've missed the death threats Sony fans were making to CD devs via Twitter.  Its the biggest outrage of the gen so far.

Fella, they're getting turned away because they're getting beaten soundly by Sony. Spencer has said this to try and spin a negative for MS fans to follow and sure enough, they follow.
