Sorry, but until a source that say "XenoBlade has sold 420k in the US!" for me those numbers are nothing, and you can't say nothing to me.

So, let's go. Source for 420k in the US?

Whats yours source that says it didnt sell 420k in the US?

Nothing, indeed i didn't say it not sold 420k in the US.

I just say that NO ONE know how has sold, and is a fact. So please... if we want have a SERIUSLY discussion, we must use real numbers, not fantasy numbers.

Should have done some research before getting all huffy over vgchartz vs NPD accuracy etc where this is concerned.  NPD excluded Xenoblade Chronicles from its top games data because of its retailer exclusivity:  http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-05-10-prototype-2-pips-kinect-star-wars-to-top-of-april-us-chart.

I don't see any real reason to doubt the VGChartz numbers in this instance.  GameStop is a big chain.  420k isn't beyond the realm of possibility.  The chain has thousands of stores in the US.

Doubting for the sake of doubting is not being prudent or wise.  It's just being silly.  Now as for proof, as I just pointed out the only source - the only one - is vgchartz.  There are no NPD numbers.  You go with the most accurate source available and that's what Vgchartz is in this instance.  And it's not like this site gets numbers by throwing darts at a board.  If anything the game is under tracked.  Japan is at 200k confirmed.  Nintendo hasn't given official shipment numbers too my knowledge, but has stated the game was significantly better received in the west than Japan.  So no, given Vgchartz is the only source, it is the best source we have and the "point" that started this - Xenoblade missing NPD - is moot since NPD openly stated it wasn't going to be listed.

And the numbers make logical sense with the surrounding circumstances.  The significantly greater push for Xenoblade Chronicles X and their confidence in it vs the first game, the speedier localization, all of this points to the original doing good enough to warrant a much larger focus.  Frankly, doing significantly lower than 400k (say, 200k) doesn't jive with the surrounding reality as that is not a number that warrants any enhanced focus whatsoever.  Even if you don't believe the specific ffigure, the 400k range makes sense.  Anything much lower than that doesn't.

I am trying to have a serious discussion, but the guy im trying to discuss with dosent accept the numbers because simply they are not convinient to him and dont even give a shred of proof to refute my numbers and well, it is kinda impossible to have even a decent conversation with someone like this guy, dont you agree?

Im curious, if you think vgchartz pulls numbers out of its ass, what are you doing here in the first place?

Why would it take a month for NeoGaf for activate your account? You're being silly about the vgchartz numbers.

It's going to sell under 500,000.

Game is curently around 150k in Japan only, LT will be probably be around 200k there.

So you are saying that less than 300k LT will sell combine in US and Europe!?

Perhaps, but not on Wii U. Wii U is dead, people will be waiting for the NX port.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

So why is Splatoon selling so well, why people don't waiting for NX port!?

i think it will sell well in europe, but unfortunately will slightly bomb in the u.s. I feel like one of the reason splatoon sold as well as it has was the best buy splatoon wii-u bundle. Having a game bundled with the system can really help its sales through exposure. Being bundled in europe will definitely help xeno. I hope really hope it does well in the states, but i highly doubt it. 500k by march hopefully at least 1 milly lifetime is what i'm thinking. We'll see though. i'd be glad to be wrong on this one.

The last game did best in the States despite no marketing, no hype building on Nintendo's part, limited production, exclusive to GameStop.  And it came in 2012 when the Wii's rep was shot to crap, Nintendo's marketing machine was practically none existent, and the Wii U had already been announced.  Given that every circumstance for Xenoblade Chronicles X is better except the install base size, there is no reason to believe it will bomb here while doing well in Europe.

in terms of raw numbers, mos def.  but i mean, 250k in europe is not the same as doing 250k  in the states.  So when i say "do well", i mean the numbers in eu compared to u.s. won't be AS big of a difference as other titles.
