Forums - Microsoft - So what do you think, did MS have as much new content at Gamescom as they had at E3?

what would you prefer it to display?  There is nothing wrong with calling it that.  I have ZERO problems with it.  Displaying "new footage" sounds a lot crappier and less prefessional than world premiere when both can mean the same thing.   Its not hard to understand and you need to re-think what world-premiere actually means.   Semantics dude.

Semantics exactly.  YOU need to re-think what world-premiere means.  When every other gaming company in the world specifies what is new or doesn't use the title then I think it's MS who needs to change.

So as I said before, what would you prefer it to say?  No one besides devs and MS have seen it.  It is literally a world premiere.

No?

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I still don't get why so many people (and gaming media) worship Phil Spencer so much. He's a politician, he talks a lot but rarely delivers.

Yep, he still didn't do anything that good IMO. His greatest advantage is to "not be Don Mattrick". But he teases way too much all of his events and butchered the TR communication (and even Kinext communication IIRC). Except the "he undid what Don Mattrick did" part, nothing should bring him his gaming messiah image.

Actually a lot of what Phil has done probably will not be seen for years or are things under the hood per say then anything else.  What you can see from Phil is the change in direction for Xbox and his emphasis to play to the strenghts of the brand.  These are things that are not as transparent to your average punter.  Most gamers probably have no clue what Phil has to do within MS to lead the division and steer it to a more games centric eco system unlike where it was going at the start of the generation.

The reason you do not see why the Xbox division has turned around and actually making good strides is because you do not know what it takes to do the man's job.  You think he wakes up and says, i will not be Don M but that's just the tip of the iceburg.  Phil has to change minds of not just his own bosses but Sudios, Developers and Publishers.  You can see he is winning this battle because you see much less negative comments from anon sources on those fronts.

My advice is to not just look at the surface but thinking about everything Phil has to do to turn around the start of the X1 which is no small task and he did have to make a lot of tough decisions and sell it to the big brass.

Anyway, he brought back Halo Wars so I am wonder if Keyboard and Mouse support will be supported in the X1 on release.  Really interested to see how this game goes.

Really ? I can't understand how awesome Phil Spencer is because I don't know what his job is ? And yet there is nothing in your post saying why he is that good... The only things you're saying is "he has to change minds" and "he is winning this battle because you see much less negative comments". Really ? That's all it takes for you ? There are less negative comments compared to the DRM storm at the announcement, sure. But if you can't see negative comments about Xbox on the internet, I think you have connection issues...

He butchered the communication about Tomb Raider. He butchered the communication about the disappearance of Kinect. He overhype every event even if there is almost nothing behind. He's losing third party support and no PR stunt can charm them like it does on the players. All he does is literally wearing "gamers T shirts" and saying "Yeah, we work for the gamers now". He didn't do anything significant until now and is still losing the console war really hard (I'm not even sure that it's really better than the Mattrick era for this). If you want me to believe that he is good, at least give me some arguments, and not a "you can't understand his job" stunt.

no it's not.  The game has been shown.  Be more specific.  "gameplay premiere"  "world's first gameplay footage"  "first gameplay for ______"  Just like everyone else says.

I am Iron Man

The new content statement ended up false & vague to begin with.

World premiere of new gameplay.  There is nothing wrong with that.  Uncharted 4 at E3, the footage shown was a world premiere of that footage.

Other than being disappointing at the 'comedic diva' and gay disco music with Scalebound, I though it look good. I've never played a

Quantum Break - ok, so Ice Boy from the Xmen movies in it. Meh, about him, but glad to see more footage.

OTA DVR functionally - including moving stored files to other devices - awesome, thanks for adding new features - but I want it now, or this fall, not wanting to wait until next year.

Halo Wars 2 - haven't played, but people seem happy.

Crackdown 3 - one of my favorite reveals. Looks like it should be much fun, and you can get into all sorts of crazy fun mischief.

Halo 5 - looks good, like Halo should.

Needed more fun looking Kinect games.

Then some world premiers, I thought Dark Souls 3 looked really good! I was trying to figure out what it was.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Did you ever watch The Following? I hate that actor as Iceman in X-Men, but he played an FBI agent chasing serial killers in that Following show and was great imho. Much more akin to what he'll be doing in QB. And of course, Littlefinger. I am very excited about the casting choices.

Was also great to see that the TV tie in is still in works after all the rumors/bullsh on GAF about it being canceled.

I haven't, I should check out 'The Following.'  I heard he was really good in something else.

I didn't think they gave him much to do in Xmen, but flirt with Can't Kiss the Girl.

Oh, good grief, I didn't even recognizes Little Finger.  Maybe the rumor that I'm only attracted to guys with facial hair has a ring of truth to it.  And I totally have like a mancrush on him in Game of Thrones.  I really like how he plays that sneaky dirty character.  I didn't recognzied him at all (lol).

And forgot to say, never played a Just Cause game, but now that I'm dissapointed in the turn Soulboud is taking, I might want to get Just Cause 3.  It looked like playing a fun Action Movie.
