I don't care if BC doesn't contribute to one single sale of X1's. It's a great gift to those of us who already has one and I'm happy MS is really pushing it.

BC is a great feature if you can provide it. The issue was for some consoles it came at a hardware price where either a console's performance was compromised to provide it, i.e. using outdated architecture in a future console (wii u) so that backwards compatibility can be provided or a increase in price because of adding additional components into the console to provide backwards compatibility (early ps3). The xbone is providing 360 compatibility via software emulation and individual patches so bypassings the problems mentioned above but then has its own problem of limited compatbility and requirements for individual games to get patches same as the original xbox games on 360.
