Shipped units last Q:
PS4 (without ps3) = 3million units
Xbox One + Xbox 360 = 1.4million units.
"Anyway. You guys should know that PS4 sold better this quarter than Xbox One + Xbox 360 + Wii U + Wii + 3DS combined...." - ZhugeEX
yes they wont be at Gamescom but they will have the same conferece at Paris Games Show, in other words they just moved the conference from one place to another, and they also have TGS and PSX... they have 3 more big conferences in the year, and they have only done one so far...

| DerNebel said: What?...lol no. Did GT7, GoW4, Sony Bends and Quantic Dreams game and Japan Studios game(s) get announced at E3 and I missed it? |
no. but sucker punch, level 5's games and Gravity Rush 2 were announced there.

Sony are the only company that started blowing shots before E3 with big announcements, at E3 and after have continued blowing shots consistently after E3.
I wouldn't be surprised if they blow some more shots at gamescom, after gamescom, before, during and after PGS, and before during and after TGS, and again at Psx.
Playstation is not a teenager and it's been been around the block for awhile now.
In all seriousnesss, Sony is releasing more exclusives this year and next year than MS. MS biggest lineup in xbox history has already fallen short of sony's 2015 line. Sony has over a 2 to 1 lead on exclusives over MS overall. So MS really needs to try and keep up with Sony. Frankly, sony doesn't need to reveal or show anything at gamescon.

No, Sony still have three more conferences this year. Sony Japan are still working on other stuff, Quantic Dream haven't announced anything official, nor have Polyphony or Santa Monica or Sony Bend. I'm sure they have second party stuff and other deals on the way too, like Sly 5 and the Level 5 game that didn't get announced at E3.
Although every console maker does it, the best example of firing your shots early this gen is surely MS. Halo 5 has seen three E3 conferences, Scalebound, Phantom Dust and Crackdown 3 all shown (CGI) over a year ago with not a peep since. I think they will have a good Gamescom show, and I like the way the console is heading genrally at last, but I do not think they are in a stronger position than Sony for games, other than the last months of this year.
"Is Playstation having trouble keeping up with Xbox, considering Phil just announced that 2016 is all about 1st party games next year"
Keeping up? The PS4? You're joking, right? Please tell me, how many AAA games the XB1 has got until now in 2015? How many are coming for PS4 and for XB1?
As for the 1st party exclusive games.. Phil Spencer is just talking, Sony has got the first party studios. In 2013 the PS3 has got 20+ (I lost count of them at the end) exclusive AAA games out of nowhere.

Ah well looks like Sony can pack it up then.
But seriously OP, this is a bad thread and, yes, to a degree you should feel bad.
Also I'm not expecting anything huge, but I see at least some PS only related news coming out of Gamescom.

That's really it, it's the last couple months of this year where MS has the advantage at least in exclusive titles with a big reach, but somehow some people want to extrapolate that towards the whole generation already... I mean has anybody even bothered to look at the PS4s 2016 lineup? (inb4 hurr durr everything will be delayed anyway)
