DS4 for me, the build quality of the X1 controller is a joke. I hate where the plastic comes to a point on the handles of the X1 controller any tense gaming sessions make me feel like I'm gonna snap it. The gamepad is comfortable for limited play sessions however any lengthy ones I always have to change the the pro. I understand how battery life can be an issue to most who game on PS4 but it is a non issue for me since I have many on stand by. Just my .02

For me, it goes

1. DS4
2. XBO controller
3. an actual cactus
4. Gamepad

The DS4 is the most comfortable for me by a good margin but it could use a better battery life, the Xbox controller seems like a step back ergonomically from the 360 controller and I don't like the bumpers or the D-pad.

Then, we have the Gamepad. Possibly the worst controller I've ever used. It's heavy, it's unnatural to hold the screen is unresponsive, the sticks are crappy, and for the love of god who decided to put a battery that small in a controller that big!

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Wii U Pro by a mile. I used to believe it had no chance to win, but after playing a racing sim on Xbox 360, I found there's no game that proves the use of analog triggers. Yes, analog is better than digital, but if there's nothing to justify it, then why have it?

Besides that, battery life, Nintendo D-pad, and correct size. Everything about DS4 is too small, and not having a pause button annoys me more than it needs to. XBO controller is nothing special. And Wii U gamepad gets last because I can't make strategic moves in Smash or MK8 with it. It's not too bad, but it isn't good enough.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I've played a lot with the Wii U's gamepad and PS4's controller. I've used the X1 from my friend's house but that is just for navigating X1 on Vevo, and other TV channels together with their Kinect.

I don't have any favorites between PS4 and Wii U controllers. And couldn't say about X1 as it was just a short-lived experience.

So it is a dead heat for me between PS4 and Wii U controllers.

wii u pro controller for me.

I just have the wii u gamepad, wii u pro controller and the dualshock 4. I played some with xbox one controller by a friend though.

I do prefer the wii u pro controller with 80 hrs battery life. The l2/r2 buttons (digital) are alot more comfortable then the analog triggers on dualshock 4 (i dont play racing sims).

So overall yeah wii u pro controller, but havent use the xbox one controller as much so cant say enough about it.

DS4, the gamepad will not be in the next console of nintendo so it cant be that good like people are saying

Wii U Gamepad's touch screen, motion controls, off-TV play, TV remote, microphone, speakers, nfc reader, and headphone jack makes it my favorite. There's just so much packed into it.

X1 controller is my favourite, although a controller that still doesn't come with rechargeable batteries is really bad. And the need to spend more money on a charge kit is annoying.

Wii U Gamepad is my second favourite because I like having a separate screen and the off TV play is sometimes useful.

Dualshock 4 is a huge improvement to previous PS controllers but the poor battery life and quality is disappointing. But it is the most comfortable controller to hold.

I know the X1 controller gets nocked for not having a rechargable battery but iMHO, its better off because it does not include one.  The PS4 and WiiU gamepad really such when it comes to battery life and I am constantly recharging them.  As for my X1, the Rechargable batteries I already have in the home usually gives me a solid week of gameplay before a recharge.

Tell me your favorite controller and I'll tell you your primary platform of choice.

Thats basically how these threads go, its not fanboyism.., its just familiarity.

My favorite controller is Xbone, but my console of choice is a Wii U.

An your right its not fanboyism, just familiarity. I've only owned one Playstation console so I guess that's why I don't really like DualShock controllers whereas I've owned every XBOX console and I think their controllers are all great.

In my case the whole "familiarity" doesn't hold true. I am 35 years old so I used the first Dual Shock YEARS before I ever used an Xbox controller and now, I prefer that over the dual shock.

There is just something easier about FPS and first person games in general with that analog placement. I think it's the left stick being higher on the controller. When it's down, my thumb has to stretch right which makes it slip off the stick time and again. I never had that happen with the Xbox controller.

Wii u controller. The people who don't have this in contention at least just don't know how to use it
