So true to form the Giants have been hemorrhaging yards by air, but doing alright on the ground. I wonder if this is because they have a decent run stopping defense, or if the Redskins' previous rushing success was illusory?

Does it really matter? The Giants don't need to be good against these Redskins.

It does. While I don't expect the Redskins or Giants to get many more wins this year, it'd be helpful to know if either team has ONE strong element in the event of future relevant matchups.

Short week makes it impossible to know, sadly. We know Cousins sucks, and that lets the Giants stack the box a good bit. But I don't think any team has even tried to run on them in the first two games for various reasons, so their D line should be relatively fresh in comparison to Washington's O line. They probably played their hearts out against STL's defensive front to do what they did. Sometimes it's just gas in the tank, just look at Philly v Dallas part 1 and 2 last year. 1st game Dallas was gassed, 2nd game they were fresh, and what a world of difference that made (add in Philly's hurry-up draining the defense over the season with TOP).

Yeah, I ultimately have to agree. Pity: now this game is officially completely meaningless.

I still don't think that it matters. The most important question is how much each team will selfdestruct, so you might as well flip a coin to make your picks.

How do you explain this? The best thing I can come up with is a severe lack of patience.

Well that's just brilliant strategy: make it this early and reap the benefits if you're right, or know that everyone will have forgotten long before the end of the season when you're wrong.

Yeah... no. I think I'll add a link to the OP, so that nobody forgets about how good Washington was supposed to be.

He forgot to account for your vindictiveness: even Oddyseus' plans had an occasional flaw!

HAHA! Oh man, that was so Redskins.

Good thing that I already updated the thread title during the first half. Saves me the trouble to do it now.

The longer this game goes, the more prescient you appear.

Oh bollocks I forgot that game.
