Why are you surprised? Destiny is a year old game getting an expansion. I don't expect there to be many people who are specifically aiming to buy a PS4 for Destiny. As limited edition bundles go, I expect this to sell quite slowly. If the Destiny bundle was actually the Uncharted 4 bundle then it might be surprising for the Halo 5 bundle to overtake it so quickly.

I didn't think Halo was still this big. Yes it's LE console too but still.

It's bromerica man. Halo will sell, and halo will carry the holidays for MS. Its not forza, gears remaster, or tomb raider that will sell xboxs this holiday season.

Sony will need to firesale for any hope to maintain the us gap.

Yup, i believe Halo 5 will sell 3.75 million by end of year in the US.

2 million in October

There is no source for confirmed that, but seem that XBO is above PS4... XBO will win August imo.

PS4 standard has been in the top 50 hourlies all week. I wouldn't put to much faith in a Gamescom initial boost.

Hourly for actual August sales:

8.) PS4
19.) XBO
50.) PS4
55.) Wii-U
66.) XBO
91.) XBO

Xbox One dropping and one PS4 skew MIA under the regular DVD rankings.

#59 N3DS
#66 Wii U

No.

Mcc bundle already drop, and you miss the ps4 standalone bundle, which is not registered in the bestsellers, because it's not a console anymore, but a Dvd player (really) + destiny bundle.

Ps4 will win august, easily.

If for easy you want say 10k difference then easy lmao.

Seriusly, you don't even know what is this word.

A "easy win" is when a console is going to massacre or at least beat the competitor by a huge margin, for example March was a easy win.

August is not even close to be a easy win, and even if PS4 will win ( that's of course possible as well) will be by a super small margin.

As for PS4 is now a DVD, well now i know this, in that case PS4 is probabily head.

I've got to say, I'm surprised by how much the BO3 marketing deal+timed exculsive DLC appears to have mattered, currently in monthly rankings, the PS4 version is at 27, while the XBO version is at 56. For comparison, in august 2014, the XBO version of AW was at 45, while the PS4 version was all the way down at 97.

*Note: I'm only including standard editions

I don't think its purely the marketing deal but it you have got to factor in Halo 5, Alot of played CoD yearly and many will be left with a Day One choice between the 2 and may opt for a change of their regular CoD with Halo 5 this year and grabbing CoD after the holidays.

That could explain the slight YoY drop for the XBO sku, but it doesn't explain the PS4 YoY increase.

if that rumored bestbuy offer is true and won't be very limited, im even more confident that xb1 will easily win august
