We knew about this when they announced it. As long as it isn't the auto battle bullshit from XIII i'll be alright with it most likely.

Gamers have been asking a remake for 10 plus years. It happens, then people act little bitches. A remake is to take something old a redo it with the current ages tech and design sensabilities.

Why the fuck would anybody think FF7's outdated battle would be intact? It will NOT be traditional turn based but ARPG ethier. It will probably look to imitate Advent Children like all Nomura's games.

They said its still gonna be recognizable which means its probably still gonna be turn based.  The changes are probably nothing to get too upset over.

Well, they change the gameplay drastically from nearly every entry to the next, so why would people even expect this to be otherwise? It's a remake of the game, not just the same game with prettier graphics, hence FF VII Remake.


I think many people consider the gameplay of the original pretty dang good... And the gameplay of squares recent games not so good... Which is why this is unwelcome news...

People have been asking for a REMAKE when they apparently meant REMASTER
