 Let's focus the energy on Scott Steinberg please, he is only a VP in Product Marketing, he doesn't always represent what Sony stands for. 

 Exactly...a few represntatives say some cocky or incorrect stuff and people start thinking they represent the whole company...ok, that sounded stupid saying representatives and all but you all get when I'm saying...right? >.>

Maybe he meant 360 only? (there really isn't a chance of Ps3 beating Wii. It will definitely massacre 360 though this gen.)

Well, the interviewer asked if Sony was going to beat the 360 this year in sales. Then Steinberg said his crsytal ball broke but this will be the year they separate from the herd an put some distance between "our other two competitors".

Then he says that only the biggest games and big blockbusters will be on blu-ray and GoW3 should be on blu-ray and it will be only fitting to see that kind of brand to be on "the blu-ray machine".

OMG, Gears of War 3 in 4D would be soooooo awesome.

 Yes, Unless it's a company STATEMENT.. then I blame the company. This is clearly a case of some company employee being way overzealous about their company.

But in this case, he knows that he is speaking to a national TV audience. It's not like he is being surprised, this is a formal interview setup in advance. At that moment, he is the public voice of the company. Anyone that works with the media knows this.

 How are your magnifying glass skills? If you have to go Sherlock Holmes on a game just to find small minute differences then you're better off in a Psych ward gaming on a Wii. Seriously would be less stressful.
