Yeah Yeah I know this is suppose to be in the pc discussion but since that section of vgchartz is pretty much empty I'm putting it here.

Those are canadian prices.

I'm using a neo***f thread as a guide for the pieces.

I don't play that many games on pc, but I want one that is capable of multitasking without slowdowns. And won't be totally irrelevant in 2 years. I'd like to know what you guys think before I do the final purchase.

1000$ for a decent gaming PC is actually not bad considering you can fairly cheaply upgrade a few of the important parts over the years (RAM, graphics card) and potentially make one big investment on a PC last many many years

Do you plan on overclocking?

Do you plan on ever going dual gpu like SLI or Crossfire?

No so I switched the i5-4690k for a 4690 and chose a cheaper h97 from asrock

And no for the second question two so I changed the card for a gtx970

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Sounds good. Can you link the GTX 970 and H97 ASrock?

That card is way too much for my needs, I think the 960 you recommanded would be better for me

If that card is way too much for your needs what are you going to do with your CPU? Because if anything is way over your needs, it's that one.

I want to be able to watch 1080p porn while playing 3dsexvilla 2 at 1080p, I need a strong cpu that will still be strong few years from now so I don't get any slowdowns, I intend to keep that lifestyle for a while.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

so you like the idea of a master race but want attention from everyone else.
Well good news... thats about the only characteristic required to be a part of the PC master race.

Don't be like that we pc gamers are a gental kind, we only aspire to bring more console peas... people to our ranks, I once was like you playing games on a tv lol but soon I'll be able to enjoy 1080p@60fps intertainement on a regular basis. God bless your heart and may he soon bring you into us. :P

It's definitely a good idea to move up to a nicer gpu. You can always use the on-board gpu until you can afford the nicest one possible. You still have a few months until fallout 4 arrives.

Also, I have the Asus Strix 970 which is extremely quiet and simple to overclock.  The only time the fans come on is when I'm gaming otherwise it's completely silent.
