The framerate and the general lack of polish is my bigger concern about the game, if only that was fixed the rest looks like a ton of silly fun, but I will never paid more than 20$ for a game so unpolished, maybe the multiplayer works better, who knows, it looks pretty ambitious at least.

Yeah besides Ivan's design (which I'm not a fan of) and the technical issues, it has a fine foundation and concept. If they do decide to patch all the shit and cut the price, I'll consider it down the line but there are so many other games on the console that I would pick up before this.

It would be interesting to see if they can patch this game up so that at least the framerate and some textures are improved. I wonder if it would be at least passable at that point. Plenty of games that have shit storylines get by because of engaging gameplay (not saying this game has that, but whatever).

I'm going to be very interested to see what Nintendo does in this situation.  Are they going to tell the studio to fix the game as much as possible?  Will we see a day one patch like on many other games?  Or will they simply cut bait on the game and look the other way?

And Valhalla, are they planning to support this game post-release?  Do they want to move on as quickly as possible?  Will they even be alive after this?

Of course, a lot is going to depend on the nature of the agreement between Nintendo and Valhalla, which I haven't heard anything concrete about.

Considering the "improvements" we saw from 2014 to today, I feel I can safely say that the developer isn't competent enough to patch up the game post-release unless post-launch development is outsourced to a more competent studio. Even then, the game basically needs to be fixed from the ground up on a technical level. I can't see any developer wanting to bother with this game.

I know Nintendo funded the development of the game, but anything beyond that I have no idea.

Honestly, I can see Nintendo doing any of the actions you described. It really just depends on how much they care about the game. I don't believe Valhalla will support it further, although I thought I heard a while back that they planned on doing free DLC updates. I might just be imagining that though.

Based on these reactions from Nintendo, I have a feeling Nintendo just wants to bury it without spending any more money on its development:

NoE made no effort to get the regular five language release that they usually go for to appeal to as much of at least Western Europe as possible. Instead it is just two, which are English and French, French being text only. They clearly are trying to limit the spread of the game, and I can't blame them. NoJ is being more direct about their attempts to limit the game's audience by releasing exclusively on Amazon. A single internet based retailer. They are limiting exposure as much as possible while still tossing the game out there on a recognizable shopping website.

The game is essentially DoA in Europe and Japan.

Edit: To top it off, NoA still doesn't even seem to be sure they want to publish the game. We have yet to get more than a single tweet from them after the fires burned for several days from the Unseen64 and Siliconera reports, and they've gone silent again since about the game.

Yup has cult classic written all over it.

Really? Because it sounds and looks very average.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

they really need to polish up the game more, which several posters here are pessimistic that Nintendo nor Valhala would be spending more money, which i kinda agree.
if they won't support it in the future, better yet to drop the price at launch.

Based from what I have seen so far, those who decide to buy the game can still find some enjoyment in it. Maybe improving the controls and framerate can make the game a decent experience. Still, even if I had a Wii U, I wouldn't pay full price for it
