Considering the "improvements" we saw from 2014 to today, I feel I can safely say that the developer isn't competent enough to patch up the game post-release unless post-launch development is outsourced to a more competent studio. Even then, the game basically needs to be fixed from the ground up on a technical level. I can't see any developer wanting to bother with this game.
