I think that Sony and Microsoft won in two different ways. Sony won the hype for 2016-2017 and Xbox maintained hype for 2015. They showed more of Halo, Tomb Raider, Gears ultimate and unveiled some new IP, along with Gears 4 coming next year. Gamescom is just going to add to that, but 2015 as far as AAA's going to be a landslide and it will definitely reflect in sales going towards black friday. When Halo drops, Microsofts sales will spike. The first Halo generally has that effect and some people just dont want to hear that. As much as I like Sony I totally agree with you that the salt in here is real.

There are remasters on Xbox One too you know but giving people a choice is better than asking them to buy remasters at a higher price. Also its kinda cool that you totally ignored my point about Sony buying COD deals and getting no backlash for it compared to Microsoft with the 360. But hey at least you have COD to get excited for this holiday season.

CoD's a hot pile of garbage, that's why nobody cares.  It's really only to entice the FPS crowd from Microsoft's clutches.  And my own personal disgust at the franchise aside, I know at the very least Totalbiscuit was highly annoyed at the bulk of Sony's conference, because much of it was timed shit.  Which I'm no fan of either.

Most viewed LIVE because they had the convenience of doing their press conference when US and Europe were awake. I stayed up until 4am to watch Sony's conference, I can't imagine many europeans did the same when they could watch it on Youtube. 

Sony clearly had the most popular games/trailers/demos you can clearly see it on Youtube where they have even ground. Heck, Microsoft got almost a full day's head start on Youtube so technically they have the advantage on there and that's now how it worked out.

In my opinion ms won e3, cause of the games shown, sony had a good e3 but didnt quite come close enough for my taste. Also ppl mention ff7 remake with ps4, which is fine but it seems every ps fan on this site and almost every site. Forgets the line after the word remake.
It clearly says, "play it first on playstation 4 "
which means it will not be a ps exclusive......

If u are a true gamer, and not some fanboy. U will want all systems to be a success, which cause competition and breeds excitement and more games for everyone to enjoy.

I've never given 2 sheets about COD nor the holiday season. I don't play FPS and I buy games games all the time so I don't worry about the holidays. And there are people who bash Sony for buying COD benefits. Heck, you're one of them. But I guess it'll be just as it was holiday 2014: MS leads the U.S. holiday sales after losing the entire year and up until February all we hear about is how MS won the holiday season.

Just like with Tomb Raider... the difference here is that the sheer existence of this remake is a huge get for the PS4, the fact that it's only potentially coming to Xbox later just serves to strengthen that.

The Remake is going to make the crushing majority of its sales on the PS4 and it will move consoles as well, especially for Japan it's hugely relevant, that's why people don't care about the potentially only timed exclusivity because at the end of the day everyone is going to buy the game on PS4 anyway.

The only way in which this game can not be seen as a huge win for Sony is in that it maybe can't be used for stupid online listwars.

Of course Social media was all abuzz with OMFG FFVII remake and / or OMFG (in a good way) Shenmue 3 and / or OMFG (in a bad way) Shenmue 3 Kickstarter!! Probably a lot of that didn't mention Sony or PS4 directly , which means despite being strongly associated with PS4 it wouldn't get swept up in a data mining operation on which to base a "who won" claim.

Also not all chatter is positive chatter. I bet when MS announced DRM for discs on Xb one that caused a large social media stir, but it didn't help Xb one with its future sales at all.
