At first if you were asked you would probably answer "OC they will, they've always done Directs and they'll keep doing them" but, after a few seconds, you'll probably realize something: Satoru Iwata introduced the Nintendo Directs! What if the new President of Nintendo decides to make the company become Standard and they keep almost everything for E3 ? What if for the memory of Iwata they decide to stop making them since it is a constant remembrance of his death ?

I was wondering about this since as you probably know Nintendo's Development teams are all focused on NX to provide it a good launch so they can't really talk about any game besides third party, E-shop and a few projects. Plus, they didn't really said anything from E3 which was one month ago and since the really bad reactions it would make sense to provide us some other news via a Direct.

Yes they will since we still have quite a few games coming out for both the wiiu and 3ds... The reason there hasn't been another Direct is cause of iwata and his cancer. He wasn't able to attend e3 so clearly he wasn't feeling well at all so it makes perfect sense as to why there hasnt been one...

But in the end... It is up to the new ceo... But I highly doubt that the new Ceo will abandon one of Nintendo's unique styles

Yes, they will.

They'll wait some time to make the next one, we won't get one probably after a new CEO is choosen so that Nintendo can introduce us to him while paying tribute to Iwata and then showing what's to come.

I hope so they are always entertaining, give us new info about games and neat surprises it's like having an E3 every two months or so.
