Can you pass me sources of these? I knew Dreamcast sold 9.13 million units, but not about the first statement.

If you mean Mario Kart's data is from this months Nintendo's PR, the 5 million sellers for WiiU is from their PR that I've been archiving. If you mean Dreamcast numbers its from the April 2004 NPD report which I happen to have.

NFL 2K and Crazy Taxi got really to 1m but no dice, only Sawnic did it.

Thank you. But I also meant the Dreamcast lifetime sales, the 9.13 million units figure :p There's this financial report of 2001 from SEGA that says the console sold 8.20 million units until its discontinuation. https://www.segasammy.co.jp/japanese/ir/library/pdf/printing_archive/2001/sega/sega_annual_tuuki_2001.pdf However, if I'm correct, posterior SEGA's reports don't mention the Dreamcast anymore, so I'm struggling to find concrete data.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

To be fair, I only said "less than 9.20m" :P

Dreamcasts LTD is all over the place, there's no agreed number and Sega won't tell us how it actually did.

It's not really worth celebrating :/

I remember that when you made a thread when Wii U's sales surpassed those ones of Dreamcast you said SEGA's console sold 9.13 million units. I'm not really sure either, but that's why I said it :S

9.16m actually messe up that time, I just stick to that one as its the one that seems the most realistic to me.

*slow, depressed clap*

Everyone has their milestones.

The WII U's been having a lot of little victories lately. Congratz :D
