Wait, really?! :O I never knew that. So the actual amount of PS4's sold in June when you include Batman bundles would be much higher than the 366k figure NPD gave?

No. PS4 total sales are 366k for the month of June.

NPD tracking bundle as well.

PS4 did 366k all SKUs combined.

245k withouth Batman bundle. (+121k Batman bundle, for a total of 366k)

For other information, this should be the sales in the others month withouth the games bundle:

XBO sold 1.04 million in November 2014 ( 1.24 with CoD AW bundle)

PS4 sold 238k in September 2014 (538k with Destiny bundle)

WU sold 98k in June 2014 (140k with Mario Kart 8 bundle)

ecc

From what I read from different sources they don't track bundles.

Q: Does The NPD Group track bundles?

A:
In the Top 10 list that is released to the public on the 2nd Thursday of the month, The NPD Group does not include bundles.

This distorts the real Top 10 (accounting for all software sales in the physical retail market). For example, in the public January 2015 Top 10 list, Assassin's Creed Unity would have been in the Top 10 list if bundles were included, because the majority of its sell-through was realised through bundle sales.

The NPD Group only reports the exact sales of universally-available manufacturer bundles / limited editions. Sales of retailer-exclusive hardware bundles / software bundles / limited editions are not reported because they reveal exact sell-through at a particular retailer, and retailers want to keep their exact sell-through data private.

What an amazing accomplishment. ONE week in ONE region, it's so appropriate to brag about this!

Makes sense. MS had the best conference imo.

Huge win MS... next year you can do it again.

Bundles are counted for hardware but not for software.

So PS4 numbers include bundles but Batman numbers not.

NPD only tracks what you paid for.

PS4 bundle you are paying for the console... so the bundle is counted in the hardware section.

The Batman game is free in the bundle... so it is not counted in the software section.

That is why the TOP10 software didn't include bundles but the hardware numbers includes.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Wow, those bundles really help especially the Destiny bundle! For the X1 in Nov 2014, how much did the AC Unity bundle sell?

...A LOT... too bad we have not the numbers, but it sold insanity... and not only for November/December, but even for all January-February-March ecc...

Honestly, even if is a random guess withouth any source, i'm not surprised if this bundle has sold over 1 million only in the US...

Yeah, MS really produced way too many of the AC Unity bundles. I guess they were expecting it to sell even more during the holidays.

1m might be a bit high but it should be quite a lot. I'm even more surprised MS didn't keep the marketing rights to AC considering how well the bundle sold last year.

Ah, okay, makes sense. I wonder why they do that? If they count the bundle then they might as well count the software sold due to the bundle.

Ikr, its almost as bad as Sony PR saying they won the day of Black Friday on Amazon

Are we doing comparisons of pointless PR statements now? I personally like the "users have spent X amount of hours on our gaming system this month" one. :D
