Where does Nintendo, nay, Microsoft and Sony as well go from here? Why do I involve those two, well because photorealism is almost here if not already. Wii vitality sensor. Not just vitality sensor, but sensory immersion. Not so much holodeck, but close. Where the 8-bit was in the search for graphical epitome, in the next couple of decades, full immersion will be the goal. I see how Nintendo offered descretion upon Wiimotes flying off wrists, I see descretion suggestions upon people with bad heart problems. I see videogames where the player just sits there and by all means, is the next victim of a serial killer. Everything they see and hear will be as if it were real life and the blur between fiction and reality is not so precise. How are they going to do this? I don't know, neural jack? |
As long as PC continues to do well and their gamers continue to say how terrible consoles look we know consoles still have significant improvements to make. As long as PC keeps pushing things further than consoles that means tech will keep advancing, then falling in price, and finally being on consoles. So basically as long as PC is ahead of them in horsepower and apparently that's enough of a selling point that PC keeps growing, consoles will keep coming out.

PlayStation Now, stream your PS5 and earlier games. Only available for Windows 11.

Simple really ...
After the NX they have at least 1 more generation to go and after that Nintendo will most likely be looking at other ventures ...
I want to see them as a third-party studio in the future, it would be the best for them imo.

Right after Sony ditches the Vita and opts to become a third party for portables and support Nintendo handhelds. It would be for the best for them.
Way too early to tell. I'm sure Nintendo themselves haven't even 100% finalized everything about NX yet, and nobody knows whether it'll be successful or not. I'm pretty sure any and all plans for hardware after NX will need to wait until NX is out in the wild.
