For you, who inform yourself on internet, but for the average consumer who sees boxes with " Dragon Quest Builders/ Dragon Quest Heroes/Dragon Quest XI " , how will he know which is the most ambitious and the main one ?

Honestly I get the impression that japanese gamers are on average way more informed than western gamers about the stuff they buy, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Question I have is, if that's their plan (i.e. to release DQXI on PS3/4), why isn't DQVIII Remake on the machine? Even if it's on 3DS, why isn't DQVIIIR HD, or even DQVIIR HD, coming out? How about DQX HD? All PS has gotten are some spin off DQs, nothing too exciting IMHO.


Be patient, there are still 2 PS4 announcements coming, one could be DQ X, and the other surely DQ XI

This game has a lot of potential, specially in Japan. Also, pretty sure it will be available worldwide at some point and the sucker may actually buy it (as a fan of Minecraft). Gonaa have to try through a demo, though.

That's my impression too but i was talking about western gamers, would be good, i hope Square Enix wont be disappointed by the sales of their games here

DQ8 remake doesn't exist. DQ8 is being ported to 3DS because it's easy. They've already put it on mobile devices, so it's not like this is a new venture for them.

It's still a Dragon Quest game bruh, so your point is invalid. Also i'm not trying to turn this into a whole "Will it be on PS4 or not" thread when the thread is obviously about Dragon Quest Buidlers. I'm just simply saying that yes, it is logical to see all these recent Dragon Quest releases on the PS4 and think "After all these games the next mainline Dragon Quest HAS to be on PS4, Right?" but i'm pointing out in the past that you could also say that with other franchises like Monster Hunter but that eventually went somewhere else.  It's not out of the ordinary to see stuff like it happen. It's still just jumping to conclusions at this point until you wait for an actual reveal. 

This is kind of a silly point. Monster Hunter was popularized by the PSP. The console versions are largely irrelevant. Even so, Monster Hunter 3 was announced for PS3. A year later, it was mysteriously cancelled and announced as MHtri for Wii. So, unless Nintendo is working on a huge partnership with Square specifically for DQ (which I don't think is likely considering the DQX fiasco), the situation isn't comparable.
