From people I really trust when it comes to movies, they told me it's the best Terminator attempt since the second and the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Genisys ignores Terminator 3 and the horrible Salvation, so that's good news to me. Unfortunately, both Trailers I saw from Genisys did not caught my interest. But besides the pretty bad Pre-Reviews, many optimistic Reviews are floating around the Web too. Also, the alternative Timeline got me pretty excited.

I guess OP is a little too over dramatic here. You're saying you had zero expectations or something like that, from what I've read from you, your expectations where far higher.

Well I don't expect anything from the movie so an disappointment is nearly impossible after Salvation. I will give Genisys a shot. At least there is some Arni Action. And since this movie is PG-13 I think it's highly unlikely seeing Khaleesis little boobies.

It's certainly not good, that much is certain for me, but it's a step above garbage, if not two steps.

I don't find the movie garbage, it is a decent to good movie which I find better than Salvation.

Terminator 2 ... good times.

Salvation was one of the worst movie that i ever seen.

No, really i had low expectations. I wasn't hyped when this movie got announced or when anorld said he was coming back. Nor was i hyped when i first saw the first trailer. My mindset was like this: todays my off hey lets go watch a movie whats out right now? Terminator ok got nothing else to do might as well watch it" The only thing i expected from this movie was I dont think the story would be good but maybe the action scenes would be as good as part 3( Now tell my expectations were to high?)

well his acting is B-tier. he had some good flicks no doubt, especially predator, but after his global warming solutions act and commuting the sentence of a murderer as a favor for a political ally I just can't support him. i vote with my dollars

I enjoyed it as Entertainment, thought it was interesting. I'm not hugely invested in the story and Salvation is the only other that I've watched in full.

It's above 7/10 on imbd user reviews which is good for a franchise action movie.

I thought Jason Clarke was a little odd as John Connor before transformation, but excellent afterwards. A little cheesy romance but I've seen it worse (Avengers 2 springs to mind). Arnie great of course.

7/10 recommended if you like action/thrillers.

I liked it. But then again, I watched it in a theater with leather recliner seats, laid back and my feet propped up. As long as it's better than the piece of shit T3, I'm satisfied.

T2 > T1 > Genisys > Salvation >>>>>>>>>>>>> T3

I love Arnold but this was awful. A trainwreck of a story. Yeah there were a few cool nostalgic winks for T1/T2 fans, but the story feels completely incohesive as if it was written by like 10 different people. And the other actors are all unlikable (and all bickering with each other for whatever reason) except for JK Simmons who plays the aged cop. 

T3 was just average, but Genisys dips it toes into the "gong show" pool by getting way too silly.

This film feels more like a live action cartoon than the gritty/grim tone of T1/T2 and even Salvation. 

The screenwriters also needed to be slapped for pressing the "plot twist!" button over and over and over again. It's fine to have one or two major plot twists in a movie, but this film tries to shoe horn in a new one every 15 minutes.
