Tales of, KOEI Warriors series (and actually supporting said games with XLs and Empires), Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, JRPG series in general, and Persona.

Nintendo is slowly losing me, though, and has been since the Wii. Mario (especially Paper) and Zelda get me to buy their systems, but I've slowly been losing interest in these series over time. I still buy the handhelds, though, what with the Zelda remakes and RPG games.

maybe around a month after MK8 was released, then I knew the upcoming games like Smash, Bayo 2, XCX, Hyrule Warriors and other upcoming games. Plus we have SMB3W, and nSMBWU, I'm cool with it.

buying 3rd party games that are really are discounted, plus Wii games and still waiting for XCX.

I love Smash and Mario Kart as much as everyone else, but I won't buy a system JUST for those games. I bought my Wii U close to launch because of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Although of course, more games were to come... I spent hundreds of hours with Tri on Wii, so 3U pushed me to buy a Wii U when it hadn't received a price drop, and I do not regret it.

But I'll also be getting a PS4 for the awesome JRPGS that it'll get, same story with my PS2, got it because of Xenosaga (<3) and the many exclusive games it has. Twisted Metal!!

Give me JRPGS and I'll buy the system!
