So I just came across the video below today and from the look of things Sony has got their own Pokemon game sorted through World of Final Fantasy.

How do people feel about this especially since Nintendo owners have been asking for a console Pokemon for a while and not received one. 

How do final fantasy players feel about this? 

Is this something you might buy for your kids?

The battle system is based on those games that came out before final fantasy X.  => yes please.

Classic active time based system => yes please

Tower formation of monsters => yes please (sounds fun, 3 fire based monsters with spells => fire -> firaga.)

It's a monster collector? That's a big + in my book. I love me some FF and I love me some pokemon style games. Another one for the Vita!

This video interview actually made me want to try it.

I already have my "monster" party setup figoured out :p

local + online features, so players will be able to play with their friends (dispite it not being a mmo type game).

I love Pokemon, and despite my negative views of recent Final Fantasy, I am a final fantasy fan,

I feel sort of indifferent to this as a pokemon fan. It is cool, but part of the appeal of Pokemon to me is the established pocket monsters I care about. I honestly don't really care for the monsters in the Final Fantasy world.

This game is basically another Dragon Quest Joker to me. It will be cool, but not enough to woo me.

This is not at all what I'm sure most people mean when they say "console" Pokemon. So I'm sure most are fine with it. Looks neat, but isn't even remotely one the same stratosphere as Pokemon.

Will likely have a much better campaign though, which I envy since Gamefreak has some pretty shitty/unambitious writers.

World of Final Fantasy - will add to the franchise big time and cud really make it BIG.it cud really expand the final fanatasy brand big time.A real Pokemon competitor in the long run and give PLAYSTATION something to compete against Pokemon franchise

The only Pokemon game I have played was Pokemon Stadium on the N64. Partially as I had a 5 year old sister who used to watch the cartoons, I watched them with her and my best friends younger brother would always pop over and play Pokemon whilst singing the jiggly puff song.

I don't know what the handheld Pokemons were like, but I am looking forward to this as this would be my first monster collector game since Pokemon Stadium. Hopefully, it will have an online pvp mode too.

Hmm, it`ll be a pokemon-like game..? Interesting. I think I will enjoy it, but so far, it`s probably not the console pokemon game I was hoping for. I wish GameFreak would at least make one console pokemon game....
