Somebody is successfully standing up to ISIS? Does that mean we can expect another American led invasion in order to topple their oppressive regime and establish a house of cards which will quickly collapse and enable the Islamofascists to conquer another territory using American made equipment? We should apply the lessons we didn't learn in Libya and blunder into Egypt, it just has to work this time! Seriously though, ISIS is only as powerful as they are because behind the scenes America is still operating under the Carter / Reagan Doctrine.

What kind of operation is that?

The Carter Doctrine was a grand strategy that involved funding and supporting Sunni extremists in order to oppose the spread of Communism while expanding Saudi Arabia's influence in the region. Most presidents have followed the Carter Doctrine to some degree or another, especially Reagan and Bush Jr. I always laugh when I see people who actually believe that America wants to stop ISIS. If you wanted to stop them you wouldn't topple regimes like Gaddafi's because they are the most effective at opposing Islamofascism. As bad as Sunni extremists are for the Western World they are far worse for Russia and her Shiite allies.

How did they get those american humvees?

it amuses me that so many people feign all this outrage yet forget to ask the important questions like this one

No room for conspiracy theories here. They got them from fleeing or defeated Iraqi army.

you call it a conspiracy theory in what sense?

are you aware that it is a well known fact that the us was funding , arming and training rebels in syria?

it was then later discovered that these rebels were collaborating with al-qaeda... you know the guys that were the supposed to be a big threat before ISIS?

that actually are ISIS rebranded?

this is what your taxes are funding lol

You should look at their 5-year plan. Imagine if they were successful.

Stragically they will never gain Iran (Iran is one dangerous miltary might). They thing ISIS are excellent at banding together warloads, and instable regions like Iran and Syria you have a lot. Also they weapons from USA thanks to Syria Rebelion. Saudia Arabia could in theory also be impossible, since Saudi will just buy all the PMC in the world to fight for them. I want to think if Turkey is truly at war, some of European allies would notice and get on that. Egypt and Libya has been weakened since the Arab Springs. Thats all my knowledge. I guess it goes without saying that if they cannot take Iran, they won't get any more east and they cannot take Turkey they won't get anymore West.

Also they got most of the USA weapons from Syrian Rebel forces (they bought them on the black market). Basically USA indirectly gave them weapons by accident.

(They being ISIS)

A lot of American equipment was left in Iraq.

now how did they get it into syria without the us stopping them in their convoys?

and why was it left for ISIS to take?

on top of that ISIS was allowed to take US equipment out of Iraq and into Syria

equiptment was also smuggled through Turkey and into Syria

Here is the thing, it isn't conspiracy theory, this is what happened. USA funded Syrian Rebels with weapons (not necessarily all USA branded weapons).....Syrian Rebels in turn sold those weapons to than the weak ISIS.

USA isn't exactly at fault more like repeating past mistakes over and over again (Since communist Cuba). They constantly try to fund rebels, and it always backfires in one way.

Add in response to your previous post. Also by the way, I meant ISIS bought them from the rebels. (Not Syrians rebels bought them on the blackmarket.)

no the rebels were collaborating with al-qaeda throughout their rebellion against their government and this was known by the united states government

you make it sound as if the rebels sold the weapons and then fled

I am talking about the rise of ISIS (Aka how they were armed), And no they didn't flee, I think a huge chunk of them might have even defected into ISIS.

But those weapons are from the era were Syrian Rebels were fighting the Syrian Government. (Well the first chunk of the weapons, I bet they got weapons when they laid seige to Iraq.)
