Surely MGS4 won't come close. Even with the wii appealing to a lot of people who might not want brawl.

I think brawl's likely to boost wii ownership among more conventional gamers too, just as mario galaxy did last year.

Brawl will do much better.. I'm basing that on the sales of the biggest Nintendo francises for the Wii. Twilight Princess was released the same day Wii launched and its usually in the top 50 software (though not this week..) and Super Mario Galaxy is also showing great legs.  

No Metal Gear Solid game has sold more than six million worldwide. Sounds like your friend is full of shit.

Brawl will DESTROY MGS4 in sales. I love both series' but I know without a shadow of a doubt that Brawl will outsell MGS4.

I could answer this with my eyes closed. I'd say SSB:B MGS4 nah... but it will do good just not at brawl level.

Agreed.  Even with the PS3 MGS4 bundle, Brawl should double MGS4 for sales.

The MGS fanbase in Japan is both extremely dedicated, and very small. I was surprised when I found out how poorly the games sell there, but that's the truth.
