Your reality isn't reality. Wii U is outselling ps4 for the past month. If the ps4 was the only relevant one then why is it being beaten there? hmmmmmmm?


It's not my reality, just common sense, one has a relevant futur, the other will continue to flop and is about to end ( NX announced soon i remind you), that's all.


You are really dishonest if you think PS4 will flop like Wii U during this generation.

PS4 will sell millions of more than Wii in Japan... that is not even in discussion here.

The actual life to date sales:

WiiU: 2.407.788
PS4: 1.537.321

At the actual rate PS4 will cross 3m about at the same time... after that PS4 will start to increase the gap and WiiU will be already dead.

PS4 can't compete in terms of software output with any handheld in japan. If NX is cross-platform, it will obviously sell more. Dragon Quest XI might be NX exclusive. Even Wii U might sell more than PS4 before NX launches, specially if it's in 2016 and Mario Maker is as huge as some predicts.

You say "PS4 is the only relevant console" when is currently outsold by Wii U.

 

Stop talk about one unrealistic future that YOU predict, actually PS4 is after XBOX console and the Dreamcast the worse selling console in Japan. stop.

Facts : Wii U is dying, it got all the biggest system sellers planned from nintendo before they gave up, the next home console will be announced at E3 2016, Wii U is living it's last year, SMTxFire Emblem is not a system seller, Wii U had it's last big exclusive system seller with Splatoon.


Facts : PS4 didnt even get one big system seller, KH3/FFXV/FFVII/and an other game from SE we all know are coming exclusively for it in Japan. That makes it the only possible relevant home console for most japaneses, that's why it's the only console that has a chance to get a pretty decent life in Japan like PS3

At least in the home console business they can do it. Now, to full takes the Japanese market, Sony would need to create a handheld that is as impactful as the original Playstation was in the mid 90s.

The Wii U is the least of their worries. Sony will never overcome the 3DS in Japan, and to try is pointless.

But Sony is talking about home consoles I guess... not handhelds.
