Still considering if I want this game, but for sure I want that Yarn Yoshi!

I'm loving this game so far.
It really rewards exploration in all the best ways. I love looking into every nook and cranny, pull at every bit of loose string I see and push at every wall.
The presentation is just perfect too. Everything looks woderfully soft and fuzzy, down to the fact that yoshis nose squishes toghether when he runs into a harder surface and that every fabric bends under his steps. The sounddesign is just adorable.
In adittion to that it's really not lacking in challenge for me, trying to get the gold star on the level can be quite hard. At the same time it's very welcoming to newcomers as well. This is how you do the choose your own difficutly thing right!

It has a 79 metascore so it looks like a solid game.

Metascores/review scores don't define games all the time. Some 70 rated games on Meta are some of the most fun, while some that are 90 are some of the most boring. First it all comes down to personal opinion. Some will like one game more than the other and vice versa. Point is, reviews should not define if a game is good or not. Sure they are an indicator... but they aren't always correct.

It is! I'm surprised on how I love this game, best Yoshi game, and one of the best platformers this gen. I will say this is almost Tropical Freeze level in my book. You can play it in a relaxing and easy way, it has a lot of challenge for more hardcore players (those collectibles... Jesus, they are hard!), visuals, music... But what I like the most is how the levels are varied. I was talking today with a friend, who's also playing Yoshi, and we were surprised on how we remember each level only with a few references. They put a lot of work in this game, it's worth every penny... Don't believe that metascore, if you are a platformer and Nintendo lover, you will absolutely love this game :)

true but that doesnt stop gamers from not reading reviews.   Most of us are interested in others people's opinion.  Problem bere is that you find a 79 a low score, otherwise you wouldnt have replied to me.

trust me, the reviews of this game dont give it enough credit. Its really a great game
