I'm from Birmingham in England so the most famous person from my town is Ozzy Osbourne.

I was born in the same city the Children of Bodom are from, but my family moved away in less than a year and I don't really identify with the place.

I lived most of my life in Kuopio, which is home to a lot of famous Finns like Spede Pasanen, Hannes Kolehmainen, Lasse Lehtinen, Paavo Lipponen, Johan Vilhelm Snellman, Martti Ahtisaari, Minna Canth, and the beardy guy in Nightwish.

For the last few years I've been studying at Jyväskylä. The only notables I could find are Matti Nykänen, Alvar Aalto, and Matti Vanhanen.

No, I don't expect anyone to recognize any of these people, although everyone really should check out Nykänen's entry on WikiQuote. =P

I live in Oshawa Canada, its east of Toronto. The most famous person would be Robert Mclaughlin, the fouder of GM Canada. He was a major person at the start of the automotive industry. His Estate is downtown and takes up a city block, many movies have been filmed in the mansion, and the sounding gardens. There is also a museum and many other buildings built in his honour.

I was born in Birmingahm too! I live in bromsgrove though, so mine would have to be ozzy aswell.:D

The most famous person at that was in my school whilst i was there...... would probably be craig fagin who plays for derby county methinks.

Hickory, NC produced a couple I can think of.

#1 - NBA joke, great college basketball player at NC State, went to Hickory High.  This picture pretty much summed up his career in the NBA.

#2 - pretty good college basketball coach at Texas graduated from Hickory High as well.  He tried to fight Dean Smith during a game in the tournament one time and I never liked him after that.

Yeah, but I figured people would be more likely to remember Marco Hietala if described like that. =P
