Good, an important step. criminalization of homofobia should be next.

So much for being a free country.  I guess freedom only applies to those who hold the "correct" political views...

you want freedom to live in fear of homosexuals?

I absolutely do not hate or fear homosexuals, but I do believe that God designed our bodies and meant for male and female sex organs to be used in a complimentary manner.  The problem is that here in Canada, homophobia has inccorrectly been expanded to include Christian sexual teaching and it's now almost illegal to hold a Christian belief on sexuality.

I'm sure most here disagree with my beliefs, but I hope you can at least remember the mistakes of the 20th century and what happened when we took legal actions against certain religions that we deemed them "undesirable."  We should all protect freedom of religion.

"Texas Pastor Says He Will Set Himself On Fire In Protest Over Gay Marriage"

Oh hell yeah! This is more like it! Lets see this!

Looks like they've found a way to remedy the problem amirite . I think I'll write an article and call it "Pastorizing the Church"

In all seriousness I imagine this is what went through his mind:

"Hey I know let's stop flaming gay people and start flaming ourselves! Literally! That will show them who is being reasonable here!"

Ok that wasn't serious at all. I doubt I can be serious about this hahaha

#1 Amb-ass-ador

Great! Hopefully the same follows in the rest of the world!

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

As a Christian, this is a horrible decision. More proof that the world is preparing to end as it is.

the bible passages that are supposedly reffering to "the end of the world" are actually reffering to the end of an "age" or "aeon"

or in other words the transition from the age of pisces to the age of aquarios

it was corrupt pastors that intentionally mistranslated that to mislead christians so that they'd just give up and not fight back when the persecutions that are to come get more intense

anyway i believe that all people should have the freedom to do whatever they want once it does not infringe on the rights of other organisms

so i'm glad that homosexuals now have these rights

and marriage is pretty much deaad anyway, over half end in divorce and that's only going to increase in the future

You should look into the era thing. That thing was debunked. But it has nothing to do with gay marriage, so discussing it here would be off-topic.

How is discrimination a right of someone to be "free"?.

Homophobia actions should be penalised just like racist actions are, you can be free and believe whatever the eff you want but you can't insult, discriminate, fire people because of their sexuality....how is that freedom? Respect for one another is where freedom begins.

Great news! Now stop invading other countries and apologize to Vietnam, Iraq, Iran, Chile and Panama.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

It only becomes a problem if you're using abusive language, or not accepting basic human rights (moreso than marriage) to someone because they are gay or something. Someone should be able to discriminate against homosexuality (definition of disciminate = differentiate, distinguish, draw a distinction, tell the difference, tell apart) without making it personal against the actual homosexual, same thing with racism. Someone should be able to say, "Blacks do not deserve to go to the same schools as whites", without being called a criminal.

Lots of people even here in North America hated and persecuted Jews for their religious beliefs and not just for their ethnicity.

Congrats for the LGBT Americans! :)
