But what about my Red Bull DLC?

Has a particular fanbase and consumer group ever been this fucked in the history of the industry?

Destiny is the most overrated game of all time. Bar none. Not even Daikatana comes close to this.

I have been a devout Destiny player for the last year and I am just shocked by what I am reading.

Both the Dark Below and House of Wolves DLCs cost $20 each. Now they're selling 3 shaders, 3 emotes and 3 class items (with XP boosts) for $20. How in any land in this world are the two equivalent in price? Are they seriously telling us that a couple of aesthetic items have the same value to an entire expansion? How is this even an apology? This feels like a slap to the face.

I actually thought Bungie would do the right thing and give away those Collector's Edition items to the Year 1 people for free. After all the Collector's Edition should be targeted to new players, not old ones. So it wouldn't take the "exclusivity" away from that edition. But this is just straight up stupid and how anyone can defend it is beyond me. This coming from someone who has invested nearly a 1000 hours into this game and has every exotic weapon.

Also, it's interesting to see how much they value the previous DLC.

So apparently some shaders (useless), dancing emotes (useless) and one exotic weapon for each of the three classes, value wise, is worth as much as each of their previous expansions LOL.

yup 20 dollars for the chance to change your characters colour, the ability to dance and a gun

i was like this close to getting the all in one digital pack... then when i realised that they are pricing it 20 dollars higher than the physical version because of that crap they lost me again

I have a hard time thinking Bungie likes these kind of "scams". Sounds like Activision is milking the franchise.

Not exactly.

They fixed the issue I have with the packages since release and why I was going to only upgrade and not CE.

For new players:

Legendary Edition (Destiny + DLC1 + DLC2 + TKK) $60
CE (Destiny + DLC1 + DLC2 + TKK + Extras) $80
Digital CE (Destiny + DLC1 + DLC2 + TKK + Extras) $80

For old players (BEFORE):

TKK upgrade $40
Digital CE (Destiny + DLC1 + DLC2 + TKK + Extras) $80 * the old way

So for me that have Destiny + DLC1 + DLC2 to get into the CE for TKK I will need to expend $80... so $40 for TKK plus $40 just for the Extras.

That is how it worked before.

They fixed that.

For old players (NOW):

TKK upgrade $40
CE upgrade $20

Now If I want the CE then I will need to expend $20 more like the others editions.

They fixed that issue for old players.

So what do I get if I have the physical CE, can I still upgrade for 20 dorraz

If you have Destiny + DLC1 + DLC1 you need $40 to upgrade to TKK or $60 fo upgrade to TKK CE.

Where are you seeing this gun?

They're giving away exotic class items, which are basically the Warlock's armband, Hunter's cloak and Titan's mark that give a slight XP boost. These things are pretty much for show as well and give very marginal boosts. Plus I'm sure you can probably earn similar items in game as well with the same XP boosts.
